I have just cleaned out lots of space and made $70 on three items I was trying to get rid.:cool1: I listed them last weekend and today was the 1st chance I got to show them and they are gone.

Thanks to all you Craigslist people here on the Disboards.:thumbsup2
I had never heard of it until I started handing around here.

My items were not priced at very much so I didn't run into a scam problem.

I am advertising a yard sale for next week and DH let me put his 55 gallon aquarium that is collecting dust in our basement on there also.:dance3:

Thanks once again. It has really helped me out. Now I need to find some more junk to list.:rotfl:

Some stuff I haven't even been able to GIVE away on Freecycle lately, so good for you! I have sold a couple of things on craigslist and on ebay lately, but I need to clean out my closets again!

I use craigslist, ebay AND freecycle to get rid of my stuff!! My fave is ebay to sell, CL to buy and freecycle for the stuff that no one will PAY for!

I just got a bunch of great moving boxes from a neighbor and LOTS of packing material. I am moving because I found a WONDERFUL townhome on Craigslist!!! :cool1:

I love CL too! That's how I sold our twin's cribs. They just picked them up today!! WOOHOO!!! $250 for both of them, and they're gone! I like it for selling, I don't recall ever buying from there actually. But I do look. Just trying NOT to buy things right now though...

I sold a bunch of baby items this week. Made $70. I did get one really good deal on CL. I bought a toddler bed w/mattress, Princess table & chairs, lamp, toy bin, Princess bean bag chair, Princess bedding and Little Mermaid bedding all for $40.

I am loving Craigslist too right now!:goodvibes

I've sold our pool table, old washer/dryer and found some free packing boxes.

Also may have found a trailer to rent while our house is being built. :cool1:

I just posted my first Craigslist ad for an Orlando condo rental for New Years. I couldn't decide what city to post it in, so I sort of at random picked Macon Georgia. I guess I should post it on various locations' sites, but that seems like a lot of work.

Any suggestions?

Sheila

That IS a really good deal! I think that we paid over $40 for the Princess toddler bed alone at Toys R Us!

I would post it in a couple major cities (NYC, Chicago, LA) and then Orlando as well. Just keep in mind that sometimes, although very rarely, someone may flag it. There are people who visit other cities, and see the same posting. So you may even say in there that you've posted it in a couple different cities to get interest.

The other thing that I did finally was set up an account with them. It's a LOT easier to post things then. It keeps track of all your posts, and then allows you to edit/delete/repost right from one page. It even shows you ones you've deleted, edited, or expired. This may be something that you'll end up reposting several times since it's still a little early.
