i realized today that i am so very thankful THAT I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED IN 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!

seriously - i had wedding planning flashbacks today and everything!!! so, although i most definitely will be giving thanks for my wonderful hubby, great family, steady job, good health, not having to cook the TURDUCKEN (seriously, he bought freaking turducken) and even for the mounds and gobs and piles of help (and ventilation) found here - i will so be giving thanks that i am not wedding planning.

although, i remain unsure about when formal vow renewal planning will begin. and jules-marie beat me to the anniversary cake planning thread/question thingy.
hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and is able to spend time with those they love tomorrow!

Oh Sambycat, how I've missed you! I was saying to my husband that I can't believe this time last year we were freaking out about our wedding to be! I too am thankful that we're not stressing all of the little details about the wedding. Now, we're in a new home and stressing all of the little things that we need to fix up here!

I still have to call the Contemporary to see if I can get that darn cake made up...hopefully it's not too difficult to do.

Also, we still haven't picked out our pictures for our album from David & Vicki! Wow, talk about being slackers....

i liked the tur, but the ducken - not so much!!! but we had a nice turkey day!

listen, we JUST got our official albums. actually, this summer, i gave up and asked david and vicki if they would pick them out? i’m assuming with their experienced photographer’s eye(s) and/or some kind of software would help them evaluate the pics better. it’s hard to go back and forth between 4 pictures that are almost the same and pick one where peoples eyes are open and what not. we got them about a month ish ago - very happy! we got 2 with our package. they have a really pretty pearlized, almost silvery tint on the covers, almost a negative type affect (but not that extreme). and the background of the pages are your photos - like blown up and almost white.... but it is a cool effect! we are really pleased. also - i don’t know if you sw, vicki’s mom passed away last week..... she’d been sick for a while, but, man, that never makes it easier....

when are you guys going again? we will be there for the half, so i might die before our first year anniversary. which is the paper anniversary. given we have no money, i’m wondering what creative but neat thing i could do for our anniversary. i (shockingly) have a tendency to overspend! ha! and i would like to do a cake - but not sure when i would do it - we are out for the half, but just a few days and i have to leave sunday morning and will probably want to die saturday night.

yes, there are definitely my dis-girls i will always think of so fondly around this time of the year!!!

also, we just tivo’d thru an episode of “bridezilla’s biggest meltdowns” so i could turn to my hubby and say - see, i’m not so bad!!
