Thankful, wishful CHANGING plans! NOV '12 PTR, Packing, shopping & last minute plans

Oh what adorable little girls! Love the new Snow White dress and the bunny suit!

Aren't they cute?!?! I can't wait to see my little Princesses with the real Princesses!!!

Joining in!! I see that you are now going in June and that we will be there at the same time!!! We are staying at POFQ though. Can't wait to see your plans!

We will have to see if our plans line up!! We will probably go over to POFQ to swim, since I've heard it's a nice pool! One of the "legal" pool hopping and I'm ALL over it!

Oooh… it's beginning! The interviews are starting! DH was asked to do a Skype interview this week! However, that puts kinks in the Disney planning! But I knew going into this, that everything could be way up in the air!

This position would be nice though. It would be in a good location (for family and for Disney!) and actually I have friends in the town, so it would be great for getting things together to move down there. But DH has some friends in the same field that have applied for this position as well.

Okay, so I'll just keep on writing this PTR until I know for sure… but Corey is off interviewing right now. I'd love to get this position for several reasons, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Anyway. So right now we are booked for a garden view room, but what do you think the chances of a little pixie dust for a Royal room upgrade when we get there? I'd love to get one of these rooms for my little princesses!!

We are a solid "First Day MUST be Magic Kingdom" family. Cortlyn's favorite ride was Dumbo. The child still talks about Dumbo and it's so sweet. For weeks after our trip, she'd be playing with her stuffed animals and they would get to ride Dumbo. Cortlyn also loved Small World.

Last trip, I did not get to ride on my FAVORITE ride… Space Mountain. Silly pregnancy. Corey and I got to ride Haunted Mansion together, but that was the only ride sans bebe that we had on the trip! I wish we were going to have someone there to watch the girls while we took a few rides together, but that will come in the future, right? Eventually the girls will be older and can go by themselves or even ride all the rides with us.

Well, usually these things start July 1, so that would most likely be our start date. But we'd have to use the Disney money to be moving money.

Funny thing, I actually was talking to my friend in MS that went with us last year and they are considering going back around Christmas time again this year… maybe we will plan a trip back all together?

Nothing is set in stone until my husband signs a contract. And right now, the current employer wants to cut him to Part Time. IF that happens, then I have to go back to work Fulltime and rather quick, because we will lose our health benefits if he goes to Parttime. I'm hoping to know by May what the deal is, and then we can make final decisions! Right now, everything is just all up in the air!

Well, my lovely (and few) disfriends, I am so sorry for being gone for so long! Things have been a little crazy, and I went away for the weekend to see family/friends in Nashville.

Things are not looking very good for us right now… We've been waiting for a contract and well… Corey heard through the grapevine that they are looking at other options. It's a fairly complicated story (and honestly, not one that I'm comfortable sharing on the interwebz quite yet). Anyway, we haven't had any movement from the skype interview that he had before, but the guy in charge was on a trip, so that's kind of understandable.

Of course, I knew that June might not work out when I changed my ressie, but I know we are working towards SOME trip in the next however long.

Thanks! I hope he does as well. In news that effects you- there is a new opening on the other side of the state line, so he's applying over there. We'd only be about an hour away? (And I STILL have your Peter Pan movie!)

I'm just glad that this is happening when my girls are so little. Cortlyn has friends, but it's a little easier to move on and make new friends when you are little than when you are in middle school or something!

We haven't made any final decisions, but we both know that June is just looking less and less likely. But I have decided that in a way, this is better. I worry about Catie in the heat AND we want to try AoA. Of course, POR is the resort I want to stay at the most, I think AoA would be a better for our family right now. Catie is a fairly light sleeper, so she would need the dark, separate room for her naps and such. Overall, she sleeps in a pack n play better than Cortlyn did though.

I'll continue talking about my plans though- because it's better to have a dream than nothing at all, right?

Wednesday

EPCOT! We loved this park last trip. I was actually surprised at how much Cortlyn enjoyed the park. We stayed mostly in the front, but it was so much fun!

We had a BLAST walking around the World Showcase though!

And we had a YUMMY lunch at Le Chefs!

Of course, I'll be happy as long as it doesn't start raining again!

This year we are going to be eating at Akershus:

We have a late breakfast, so I'm hoping that we can fill up and skip lunch and have an early dinner. I'm interested to see if Cortlyn can make it without a nap some days. Catie will absolutely need one in June, so one of us could take Catie back and the other stay with Cortlyn in the park. However, I think we might get better results if both girls took some downtime. I'm willing to play this by ear and see how Cortlyn does. It would be a disaster, but we'll just have to see!

Looking at my last trip, it is amazing how TINY Cortlyn was!! Especially since THIS was taken on Easter:

We went to see my friend in Nashville and I got these pictures of the girls as well!

And because I'm amazed at Miss Catie…

Cortlyn was NOT a climber, so I'm not sure how to handle her! Everytime I turn around she is trying to get on top of something!

We've done that before as in just booked a package and then found out that it wasn't going to work out

Then I would call Disney and just move it to another date, sort of like cancelling it and rebooking to another date!!!

I love all the places that you have for dining reservations, I will put my 2 cents in on a few places... We love Whispering Canon, (even though it's not one of your final choices) but we are very loud and out going.. We love to joke with our waitstaff and drive them crazy which in turn they give it back!!!! The waitstaff is loud and they yell around the restaurant lots, so if your girls are the quite type, the waitstaff maybe to much for them.

We love Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary... It is so much fun and the interaction you get with Mickey, Minnie and the gang is fabulous!!!! We went in Sept 2008, with our best friends and they had a 6 year old son and that was his favorite!!!! The food is buffet and we did breakfast!!!!

We also did Akershus on the same trip and with just my DH and my daughter and we loved the princess. They come right up to the table. Also when you check in Mary Poppins was outside saying hello to everyone, and then right before we were seated we took a Photo picture with BELLE!!!!

That's the whole reason we went to Akershus was to see Belle

We'd like to try Whispering Canyon, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about it. We have friends that go every trip and they just rave about it! I hope that Mary Poppins is at Akershus, because she was the most memorial character for me on our last trip. Cortlyn LOVED that movie leading up to our trip and it was so magical- I cried like a big fat baby! Even if Cortlyn has moved past Mary Poppins being her favorite character, it will always be my favorite character meeting for her!
