[Dads Dream]

A Magical and Wonderful Christmas

It was 5 days before Christmas and all through the house
The music was playing, Christmas songs by Mickey Mouse
The ornaments were being hung on the tree with care
And DH and DD put the angel on top, like every year
Each ornament has its own special story
Like the one with the picture of cousin Tori.

When on the floor there arose such a chatter
I sprang from the chair to see what was the matter
The tears on DD’s cute little face
Told me hurry like this was a race
And what to my wondering eyes should appear?
A broken ornament, that was very rare
She stood there crying and sobbing away
“My favorite ornament from the cruise” she did say
Please fix it Mommy, and put together
Please fix it Mommy, and make it all better

I knew in a moment just where to go…
For “Disers” are always in the know
To the computer I rushed like a quick little elf
And posted a thread asking for help
More rapid then eagles the responses they came
Verandah Man was the Saints name
I have the item right here on my tree
Let me pack it and ship it, to DD from me
I won’t take no for an answer the email read
“Christmas is for the children” is what he said
The Walter’s mailed us that special package from their house
With a card and note signed from Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Christmas morning was here and there was excitement galore
DH and I couldn’t wait a moment more
“DD, take a look and see”
“Something wonderful under your tree”
Her eyes so big and smile bright
She knew something magical happened that night

It sounds like a story to nice to be
About a special family from New Jersey
Andy, Hazel, and Angelina are busy little elves.
Helping everyone else not of thinking of themselves
Thank you, Thank you and Thank you some more
You have reminded us of the sprit for sure
With all of the generous things you have done
For we know, we are not the only ones
God bless the Walter’s, we exclaimed that night
For making the Wonder and Magic of Christmas shine bright.

I believe Andy and his family to be one of the most sincerest folks that I have had the priviledge to know and be friends with - I love when someone knows all about you and still calls you friend -also what talents shown in the poem - wow we sure have some great talented folks on this board in all aspects.
