I will probably not leave the link up too long (we've had some crazy internet stuff going on), but I just HAD to say thank you to everyone on the boards here. We could not have had this day without your help!!

We did a bit of a different VR and family blessing for our ceremony... and it just came together amazingly- so much of what we did (like our private dining breakfast with mickey)- I got ideas from women on here. I'm so grateful for all the help! Our VR was the most amazing day ever!!!

I wanted to give you my reviews, and a link to our misty pics slideshow!

GF Private Dining- A+ I would definitely use them again- we were tresated so well, everything was perfect!! Definitely recommend!

GF Bakery- A+ Our cake was exactly what I asked for, and delicious!!

Mickey Mouse- A++++++++ Worth every penny!! I had no idea it would be so fun and perfect with the kids- I would definitely recommend it!!! It was our splurge of the day, and totally worth it!! I was soooo glad we did it, made the day!

Discovery Cove- AAAA++++++++ Outstanding!! We had no idea what to expect doing the ceremony there, but it was amazing- exceeded all my expectations! Yvette if you are reading this- you were awesome!!! Worth so much more than what we paid!

Happy Limo- A -On time, professional, would hire again.

Misty Miotto- I don't have my pictures just yet, but based on the slide show... AAAA+++++++ Outstanding photographer, worth every penny!!! She is worth so much more than what we paid! I love the photos, I love the slide show so much I'm crying!

I totally agree- Misty is AMAZING- it was like having a photographer and a wedding planner with me for the day- she directed things- she even did my hair up for the dolphin swim! I can't imagine the day being as special as it was without her! And then the photos- OMG- I'm just in awe! The first one of my dress at the windows at the GF- I just love it!

Ok! So for the back story- we decided for a lot of reasons to do a disney/non disney vow renewal. I made a TON of phone calls,a nd for awhile, we were thinking of actually doing something in the keys with dolphins. That's what made me think of discovery cove. When I called, they said, sure we'll let you do it here... they basicly treated us the same as they do with their wedding proposal packages (which was more than reasonably priced).

They went above and beyond - when we arrived at DC, we were brought to our private cabana- there were flowers, champagne flutes and champagne, fresh fruit, a picture of the dolphins framed for us- and it overlooked the dolphin swim area- so that is where we had our ceremony - it was breathtaking!! We had a woman help us the entire time- she was SOOOO kind- helpful watching the kids during pictures, got them snacks- oh she was amazing- she even cried during our ceremony!! The timeline (after getting to DC), was pictures, ceremony, more pictures, change into swim attire and then wetsuits, swim with dolphins, a couple pictures and then photographers left... and then our family just enjoyed discovery cove. It was an amazing place and we would love to go back. The dolphin swim- wow, just incredible! And on that day, right after saying our vows- it was just more than words can describe!!

So yes, I would recommend this to anyone- especially someone wanting to do something with a smaller number of people!

Also, I'll add, the first half of the day at the GF- it was so amazing too. We had a blast with mickey!! We were able to take a lot of photos that morning all over, and our location- we were moved indoors (due to cold weather) and it was just a gorgeous location with an incredible view. I would totally love to have a special meal with private dining there again. Just loved it!!!

And finally, just a bit more.... on what I learned and would do differently...

SO I know sometimes there's these really helpful threads on what people learned or wish they had done differently. And really, I wouldn't change a thing!!!

What I learned most from this experience, was that I can not worry about what others think. I had some people be really negative about our VR, just having a VR in the first place, then our plans, our timing, my dress, my swim suit, my husbands kilt, the dolphins, mickey mouse- oh probably someone didn't like something for every part of the day. I will be honest, there were a few moments that it got to me, even while I did my best to remain true to my heart, true to who I am, and remember what this was about. My love for my husband and my children, celebrating our family, the greatest blessings, our children, and our love for eachother.

When the day ended, I remember sitting in our room, thinking to myself, this was one of the very greatest days of my life! It was unbelievable! I am so glad I didn't change a thing for anyone else, or I would have missed it!!!! I hope that is a lesson I can remember!

So the best advice I can give to anyone here planning, more than vendor reviews (although I hope they are helpful), is stay true to your heart, and don't give a **** what anyone else thinks or says, because life is too short for that!!
