Mary Blair born in 1911 and died in 1978.
She was the designer and artist for "It's a Small World" ride at the 1964 Worlds Fair. She designed it for Walt Disney with a UNICEF theme.
Mary Blair was also the primary graphic artist for Cinderella, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, and the Three Caballeros movies.
Mary Blair designed and created the floor to ceiling mosaic tile pole in the Contemporary resort at WDW.
She was the
first woman graphic artist hired by Disney Studios.
Mary Blair was awarded the Disney Legend Award on 10/22/91 (after her death)
