Well, I think you can count this family as official USO converts. We had a blast. We started off our trip at USO and then moved to WDW so the inevitable comparisons arose. We did miss the kitchenette that the WDW villa studios had while at USO and the fridge they bring you is a wee little cube, but we still managed to do breakfast in the rooms with that and stash DS's antibiotics in there too. Otherwise and not counting MB convenience, we found the crowds more manageable at USO, the express pass completely addictive, and the kids enjoyed so many of the rides there versus just 2-3 in each WDW park (excluding MK). Plus the distance seemed more manageable, even with park hopping not being as easy as first appeared (we didn't realize that you either had to go through citywalk or HE to switch, but hard to complain about HAVING to ride HE). Kids adored HP places, especially Diagon Alley, and Simpsons. Thanks to your tips I knew certain things like to try Spiderman (a fav of the kids to our surprise), Cowfish (a fav of all) and 3 Broomsticks (which we all enjoyed). Thanks again for all the tips and we will likely be back and spending most of our time at USO!

Thank you for the note. Your post provides catharsis for the many on here who spend time helping with the 'conversion' to Universal. Glad your trip was all worth it.

I don't disagree here, but I want to add a tiny bit of clarification in case new visitors misinterpret this. To park hop from the front gates of the parks, one indeed must go through City Walk, but it is the smaller section of City Walk that is on the same side of the water as the parks. I just don't want people to misunderstand that they must cross all the way over to NBC Sports Grill, Margaritaville, etc. side of City Walk to park hop.

I see what imprint is saying
A newbie could get turned around when they are told city walk ....

Leave the studios for ioa a person goes to the right and will walk pass the front of HRC before the reach ioa

Reverse fhe walk when's person leaves ioa for the studios

Turn left and follow the walk way past HRC to reach the other park

About a 4 minute stroll to switch parks

We're with you @Pesky! We're another Disney family who now prefers Universal. We have truly fallen in love with the HRH and love the UO parks! We used to miss WDW when we traveled to USO for a couple of days. Now, we stay at Universal and have to tear ourselves away to visit WDW for a few day trips!

Agree and thanks for clarifying! For us it was just more of a pain to just walk down the road because we were rarely in the front of either park so probably seemed more daunting to us.
