Wow, i love these boards. I would never have known my flight had been Canceled otherwise. I booked with Orbitz, and on their website everything was peachy. ON Delta's website my flight wasn't even on there anymore. So from advice on these boards, i emailed orbitz to find out my flight had been canceled. I called Orbitz, and they connected me to a Delta rep. She was super nice and got me on a flight that was much better than my first orginal. I do have a wait, my trip isn't for another 2 months, but at least i know to watch my flight for any changes..... thanks again. :thumbsup2

That's rather surprising, regarding Orbitz not being updated. That's one of the things I can happily report Travelocity does for me -- their website always shows changes to my itinerary at roughly the same time they are apparent on the airline's reservation system. Did Orbitz give you any explanation why their records weren't correct?

Nothing and i just called again, probably when you were posting because i got an email saying it had changed again!!!!... but it was just that they hadn't updated the system since i talked with Delta. Huge headache... If it wern't for the great price, i'd doubt i'd use them again.

I am on the phone now getting our flights straightened out. Thank goodness I checked! They have us missing our connection by five minutes! They actually changed all of legs of our flights, one direct, one connection. What a mess!

If it wern't for the great price, i'd doubt i'd use them again.
And that's why all the airlines operate like this: In general, passengers focus on the low fares, without regard to how the airlines treat us. A very small minority of passengers will willingly reward airlines that treat their customers better by paying higher fares, and so it would be irresponsible for airlines to expend their owners' capital providing better service.
