I've just had two , long phone calls to Disney reservations . Glad I didn't have to pay Telstra international calling rates!

I rang initially because I wanted to add the dining plan and to put in a room request. The cast member spent ages trying to find the right code and her first offer had me paying about 35% more for the dining plan that I had calculated. :confused3

When I queried it she went away again and came up with another code/total which was MUCH better. All happy...bye bye. Then I check the reservation on the website ( hadn't received the confirmation email yet). gah! She's dropped us back to a standard view room and my original booking was garden view.

Back on Skype again, recorded message blah blah and after a chat to another cast member everything is sorted.

But I still haven't received the email..... I thought my original one came straight away. Is it normal for the confirmation email to take a while to come through?

Give it overnight, see if it has turned up in the morning - that's what I used to do every time I dealt with someone at WDW

dial 1800 881 011 then your 1800 usa number.....its free..unless disney reservations dont have a 1800 number, then your screwed:rotfl:

Now that's a very handy piece of info, thanks! :thumbsup2

Finally found my confirmation email, Google had decided that the Walt Disney Company were spamming me , and put them in my spam folder.

I use Skype because all my family and most friends have it. Love those free calls while travelling!

I use google every now and then to make a call - same as skype really, but at the moment it's free calls to any US number - well it was, I haven't checked in a while :confused3

Same here. I use the voip for ringing land line phones.

Actually, that brings up a small gripe that I have with Disney. Basically, I dont DO landlines. Family/friends living overseas all have Skype and in every trip that we've taken through Europe,Asia and the USA in the last 5 years I have been able to book/change everything for hotels, tours, flights, trains etc online.

The only travel company/hotel that I've ever had to use the phone for was Disney. Just wish they'd get with the program. I work in the web design industry and it just peeves me a bit - it's not like they don't have the funds to expand their systems ;)

However, it's only a small peeve so I'm prepared to forgive them , because they make the best churros... :rotfl:

Hi australiankaren

I am in a similar position to everyone else having to call Eurodisney to book for a planned trip in January.

Now I am a techno ludite so can you please explain this 1800 number thing. The number (inculding all calling codes) that I have used for Eurodisney is 0011 33 1 60 30 60 53. Is there some way I can call this number through this other "1800.." number?

Cheers
