Thank goodness for DVC!

I just received my monthly newsletter from Mousesavers and read a thread over on the resorts board. Both are talking about the lack of room discounts available lately. It appears that Disney is moving towards offering more package deals and less room-only discounts. This is really impacting the AP holders who don't need to buy a package deal...they just want their room - and they want it CHEAP.

I am thanking my lucky stars that I bought into DVC. I wondered if it would be worth it after WDW started offering mods at 79$ per night and deluxes were going for $114....but now I am glad I did!

Glad you wrote about this. I knew the day was coming when we would see a turnaround in prices for non DVC resorts, just didnt expect it this quick. Those resort prices will continue to rise over the yrs while DVC will remain the same for those already bought in.

that's why DVC is such a great deal. No worries for 39 years.

But with the Disney resort hotels you never know what prices

you're going to get or if you'll ever get discount codes again. right
