TGV to CDG?

Have decided that as there is only the 3 of us going this time that the most sensible way to get to and from CDG is by TGV - getting to Disney is ok - I will just go with whatever our flight landing time allows us to get but what sort of time should I be looking at leaving to allow us to get our flight home?

We will have online check in done before we go so will only have to bag drop and clear security before getting on the plane - flight departs at 4.45pm (check in closes 4.05).

Rail Europe is giving me times of 13.18, 13.59 or 14.47.

I am thinking the 14.47train but would I be better going for the earlier one?

I try to get a TGV from Marne La Valle to arrive at CDG an hour or just over before our flight departure time, if I've done online check-in (bagdrop should only take a few minutes). I fly into and out of terminal 2b though, so its only a 15-minute walk from the TGV station to our departure gate.

Thanks Elaine - we are out of 2b as well with easyjet - so I think we will go for the 14:47 one - how early do we need to be at the station at Disney before the TGV arrives!

10-15 minutes before will do you - you need to look out for which platform your TGV will come into, this often isn't posted on the digital info boards until about 10 minutes before departure time. When you enter the train station from the park, head towards the back of the station, thats where the escalators and big info board are. There are benches and vending machines there too.

have you got a buggy? its not much fun trying to find a lift in MLV station, luckily we were kiddie free when we used the TGV. We had to hop our suitcases down the stairs and I was so mindful of my newly purchased breakables!! It is so convienient for getting back to CDG and especially since youre going from 2B. Id also go for the last time.
We were T1 but had given ourselves 2 and a bit hours and had maybe 20mins to wait at the gate but the trek to it was soooo long we ended up jogging just to be safe... and looking like eejits!!

No - thankfully no buggy - girls will be 8 and 9 when we go so well able to manage their own things (well I hope they will!) I will have a large roller holdall and they have roller backpack things that they can either pull or I can sling over my shoulder if need be!

Youre sorted so!
Am looking forward to when my two hit that age and can carry their own stuff. The thoughts of hawking a buggy, two suitcases, two hand luggage and my handbag in November eeeek! Thank god for shared shuttles! Its going to be fun when we're dropped off at the SL and have to check in and fend for ourselves. DP is gonna have alot of carrying to do :rolleyes1

I have become quite adept at reducing our baggage over the years - last time we went I didn't even take hand luggage just a medium handbag and had packed for me and three kids in our trolley bag - this all included bulky winter clothing - am hoping to be even more frugal with our packing this time as well - although the girls are planning on taking Halloween costumes for MNSSHP!
