I have used tgm for our past 3 trips and I am signed up for this September, I heard Pete recomend Ride max for DL and I was wondering what experience people have had with using Ride max for WDW. Can I use both and just taylor it to our needs, is that overkill, should I just stick with TGM, any thoughts?

I'll be honest, TGM confused me...I felt like it told me a lot of stuff I already knew...I LOVE Ridemax! I tried it for the first time on my DL trip...and have now used it for 3 WDW trips..I even used it last year during spring break when I only had ONE day at MK...I rode everything at MK...everything ANY program that can help me do that when the crowds huge...I'll keep doing.

What I love about the new version of RM is if you wait until just before your trip....the schedules for World Showcase performers are in there. I believe maybe a week out? I'm always forgetting to stop & see a performer that I've read about here on boards. I'm excited to try RM in 2 weeks & see if it helps me do that too.

I love RideMax. I used it for DL last May and I'm already using it for our WDW trip this coming May.

It works perfectly for the way I plan. Because I already made all of my ADR's and had to work around group dinners, birthday parties, dinner shows etc.. I pretty much know where I'll be on any given day. I also believe in afternoon breaks, so I've got one or two parks already planned for each day. Since i have a general idea of what areas of the parks, or what kinds of things I want to do in those time slots, I set RideMax up for a morning or afternoon start and end time, select the attractions I want and lit it do it's thing. It comes back with a list of the attractions I selected in the best possible order. TGM can't do that, and although the advice there is generally good, I find RideMax works better.

I love it, highly recommend it and no I don't have any kind of financial arrangement with them, other than buying their products twice now :goodvibes

This sounds good, do I go and sign up now for September or wait until 90 days? Do I need to go on early for anyreason?

I'd wait. Here's what I do....I base my ADR's on touring plans best days guides, then after I have all my adr's about 30 days out I start making my Ridemax plans, I save them, but don't print them until I'm about 1-2 weeks out.

I just ordered RM last week when Pete recommended it (Feb 28 to be exact).
We are going in May for 4 days pre podcast cruise and 7 days post cruise.
Unfortunately, it does not allow you to plan for May yet!!!
I would not order it until you are 2 months out at the maximum, especially if you are only taking it for 90 days.
They have my money, but I am unable to use it yet.
Call me OCD, but I have been planning for 2 months now and was looking forward to planning the parks
I have been checking in every day to see if May has been added.
I also realize they need recent info for attendance, shows, times, etc, but I'm a little miffed at it at the moment.
Tried it experimentally for the end of April for the corresponding days of our trip in May (ie..Wed thru Sat and Thurs thru Thurs) and it seems to work great!!
if you find a big "Free time" space, try to add another attraction, if it says there is not enough time, take one away.
Utilize the Fastpass runner option, and even more time can be filled.
I think it will be a great asset.......but the lack of future dates....well lets just wait and hope.
I took the 1 year option due to the fact we will be down again for the first 2 weeks in Dec.
Oh, and for you Canadian customers, the sign-up page takes you to the Canadian $ version which is $40/yr CAN instead of the US $ version which is $30/yr.
Thats a 33% exchange, so change it to US$ and it will save you a few bucks.

Sent an email to RM regarding the May dates.

Received an email a little while ago saying they will be up by the end of next week.

Just thought I'd fill you in.

If you are planning more than 3 months ahead, don't go the 90 day route.

We tried it twice and planning again for or next trip this year. We really loved it.:thumbsup2 Hope we still have fun.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

After using TGM for 3+ trips I don't feel like I would need Ridemax. I can tour without a touring plan because TGM teaches you how to tour. I still subscribe because I love the message boards and best day charts. Since TGM explains the why of the least crowded park charts I could probably figure that out myself too, but it would be a lot of work- I'll just let him do it!

I don't think that I really need ride max, but, I am so tempted just to check it out. I still love tgm but I am curious.
