I went to TGIF three times in the last 2 weeks for apps. Two times the waiter did not bring me the change. As in coins change. One time I gave an extra 10.00 and needed change of tip. The waiter brought me 2 fives but not the .74 cent change.So I had to leave a 5.00 tip even though 4.00 was 20%.I thought OK not a big deal The waiter got 5.74 tip. Tonite we go again and I get back all singles and a 5.00 but no change.. I don't want make a big deal about it. But was thinking on the way home if it is done all day that is an extra few dollars. Is it me or no one give change back? BTW all coin change goes in my Disney jar

I've never not gotten my change back correctly in a restaurant when I was paying cash. I have often had places round UP and give me extra. Had I not gotten it, I would have asked (or adjusted the tip downward).

How big of a deal is this to you? If it bothered you enough to register on the disboards and make this your first post, then I suggest that you either choose a new place to eat or else arm yourself with plenty of $1s before you leave the house so that you don't end up over-tipping.

I always try to take enough different bills so that I do not get change back. However when I do get change back I have almost always gotten small bills back. If you need singles for a tip ask.
