Well I am all packed, at least as packed as I can get for now. There are the few last minute items I will throw in tomorrow night but I have all my clothes packed which is always the big hurdle for me, trying to figure out what I will want to wear.

I just called and left Jo a voice mail and told her to watch the weather channel.

Me: "OMG! There's a huge hurricane coming!!!!"
Aunt: "Oh it's not coming." (which was the mindset of all of S. Florida @ the time)
Me: "What do you mean it's not coming. Look! [pointing @ TV] Here's FL and there's the Hurricane." ---So obviously heading straight for Florida.
This is what was showing on the freaking news:

Aunt: "No that's not gonna hit us."

OMG Z - this is almost the same conversation I had with my Dad in Charleston! I had just moved from NY a few months prior, so when I heard "evacuate", i filled my car with every possession I had! Dad, who'd been living in S. FL for the previous decade, brought nothing. Post Hugo, the entire contents of their home was swept clear and the entire thing was about 10 feet off the foundation. (We lived two blocks from the Atlantic.)

I have to agree with V - all of the fockers are great friends. It's amazing how willing and supportive everyone is - I can't wait to meet you all!

I'm glad the weather is looking better for the parks. Turns out I misheard my mom - she probably said "surgery in two days at 2:00" and I heard "Tuesday at 2:00". So the surgery is actually tomorrow which should give me a better idea sooner, if you KWIM.

I hope everything goes well.

I hear ya! I was opening that suitcase yesterday and adding and changing, and I know myself and I will end up wearing somethings twice and coming home with unworn stuff.

So my friend L called today and she was going to buy some water and things for their house (they live in Tampa) and is going to pick me up my water today so they aren't out because of people preparing for a storm! So yay L! I also found out her daughter, H, knows I'm coming but doesn't know where we are going once they come get me! I can hear the 9 year old screeches when she sees a Disney sign!

So I'll see you all there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me Mo...it is driving me crazy not to be packed. The problem is I had my to do list all written out and everything seems to be taking longer to do than I had planned...KWIM? It is driving me crazy. I should be able to get us all packed once the last load of laundry is done, which is in the dryer now.

I am so excited to meet everyone...I can't wait for Saturday, but I don't want to wish the vacation away either.

I just want to tell you guys to have a great time/ DIS meet. I hope Hurricane Faye don't distrupt to many plans. Again, have a great time everyone.

I am actually going to be in Florida, just not at WDW. Ironic huh!

My dd got her Federal Agency job, and she will be training just north of Jacksonville. We are road tripping from Wisconsin to Florida, yuck. They won't let me go on property, so we are spending the weekend in Savannah. I fly home Monday, Labor Day weekend out of Jacksonville.

So today was a peaceful day - we kinda hung around the house and vegged out. Packing is done, laminating is done - nothing more to do really. Just wait.

Forgot to mention Andy jacked up his foot the other day, I think he pulled a muscle somewhere. His instep is killing him and he's hobbling around. Looks like we're going to be renting 3 ECV's. I think he's milking it.

Tomorrow is pedicure, hair color and waxing day. And then I'm going to clean the joint up. It's going to be a long 51 hours, I can tell.

There is a "Princess" Faux Hair Piece "Thingie"... that Sara has.. and if someone can get me a couple more and send them to me when they get back home... I'll MORE than cover the expenses.

Geez Louise - I can't get a break! Our local channels are showing a Cat. 1 hurricane barreling straight into Tampa Bay late Tues. I won't need to evacuate, but it won't be fun. I'm off to suck cosmos till i can sleep. be back tomorrow....

No need for all that because I agree it is going to turn left and just die in the gulf with no one to bother.
I do not understand how you all can live with these things. It is not like earthquakes or tornadoes. We do not have to sit for days waiting for then to hit. The wait would be hard for me.

As I'm having my gin & ginger ale, our weather says nothing about a hurricane, only that it's headed more to the left. Which may sound good, as I thought too, until I heard that being in the right quadrant is the most dangerous because of tornadoes. Oy vey!
