TFW Meet 2008 The Mission: Wiener Salad & Margaritas - Trip Report Links on Page 1

Let's see...this morning Jimmy and I both got haircuts, so we are all prettified to meet our Focker friends:thumbsup2. Ran to Target to get the birthday present for the birthday party. Now I have started the :laundy:. We have to leave around 5:00 for the birthday party (I still don't get a kids (5th) party starting so late:confused3 Must have been cheaper for them.

Tomorrow, our friend Joe is going to come over to help Jim move the fish tank to the basement and then he is going to take Jimmy to his place to hang out with his kids for a couple of hours so Jim and I can go to Lowes to pick out our ceilings fans and other stuff so it is here and ready for the contractor. Then I will pack!.

Monday we have to go to take Tink to the boarder, go to the bank and geta pedicure (me not the boys;) )

It;s alomost here ladies and Faye is going to turn left:banana: :banana: :banana:

***********************************************

Let's see ... this morning I cut everyones hair, Evan, Andy & Maddie's fringe. Reorganized the luggage - added another set of clothes for everyone just incase Faye decides to stall me in Atlanta. :rolleyes:

Looks like we'll be hanging by the pool most of the day today - nothing planned really. Just waiting and watching Faye - hoping she's not to harsh on our Florida friends and lets us see our old/new DIS friends next week. :worship:

Just booked a rental car in Jacksonville, Fl just in case we end up having to switch our flight there and then drive down. Anybody know Jetblue's policy on changing flights due to hurricanes?

Hey Janet? It's turning RIGHT!!!! :rotfl:
Figures! :rolleyes:

Well, I checked out the drive from Atlanta to Orlando - 6 hours! :eek: Not bad, I guess. That's longer than driving to Vegas or San Fransico, even. But a fockers gotta do what a fockers gotta do. I'm going to watch the situation and if need be I'll reserve a car on Monday for our road trip on Tuesday. :sad2:

Not to be the voice of doom and gloom, but... 8. 8 hours. 1 full hour from ATL through Macon. More if you hit rush hour.

Something to consider for all... if Fay goes up through FL, you do NOT want to be driving from the north down to Orlando in it. So if your arrival would be prior to Fay getting to orlando, no problem. Later than that, better to come from the south, if you must. Personally, I'd just wait and take the delayed flight to MCO.

OK ... Enough "Fay"
( Fay.. Fay... Go Away)
Sorry... But I bet people will write that on their Boarded up houses...

Here is something Funny...

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

'Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday.'

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, 'Sure. I have this,' and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused , Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, 'There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral.'

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. 'I mean, what in the world is this?'
.
.
.
(folks, your gonna luv this)
.
.
.
The bank manager looks back at her and says...

'It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan, His old man's a Rolling Stone.'

And Jacksonville -Daytona was a mess as there is a LOT of road.. DISTRUCTION..:sad2:

:wave2:

Yup, that would be me.

Z, are you hearing much of anything down there? I just saw Hialeah's getting nailed - hope all is well with you!

I was fine since I'm nowhere near Hialeah, but a tornado did touch down there. The thunder woke me up as my sleep has been off all last week and I was awake at night and sleeping days.:upsidedow It did look like a mini tropical storm though.

Oh How the ADRs change!!!! I LOVE Narcoossee's tho!

So should we change too Kat?!?!? It was originally on our list. :rolleyes1

Alright Fockers listen up on Fay:

First off it's a Tropical Storm, which isn't good, but it's nowhere as bad as hurricane status. Heck like I said above, our thunderstorm we had down here on Thursday looked like a tropical storm.

Second, that sucker's about to head into Cuba. Do you know what the fabulous thing about Cuba is? It's a very mountainous region. Which in storm lingo for us Miamians means, that's gonna hurt the storm pretty bad, it might pick up a tiny bit after it leaves Cuba before it descends on Florida, but probably not much. (At least here's hoping)

Third, there will be LOTS of rain and if this sucker's still churning and you're flying out anytime before Wed you're gonna have flight delays (sorry :hug: ). My brother has to fly out to Puerto Rico on Tuesday and he's very :mad: about this whole thing.

Fourth, everyone give V lots of :hug: :hug: as it seems like she'll be receiving the brunt of the storm, unless Cuba's mountains hurt it a lot.
I'll go pick you & Leo up if need be V! ;)

Fifth, never fear FF will go on!!!!

The news here isn't going too crazy about the storm watch, there's not much interruption yet (as usually there is) so that's a good sign.

I agree Katt!

Oh and :rotfl: :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Disney is on the Travel Channel!!!!!!!!!!!
:woohoo:
Ok off to work and more storm watch.
OK somebody needs to take Fay down.
I got my haircut today and the woman who cuts mine also cuts my SIL. SILwas in the other day for a cut and had Kelly with her and Kelly was telling her how excited she is. I mentioned that I was worried about Fay amd she was like, OMG, I can't imagine if you had to tell Kelly that you couldn't go.
In my head I'm like, it should be over by Thursday and we will be able to get there, but what if this stalls, and what about the other Fockers flying in Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
I don't need this stress.
BTW lower back muscles feel better, however, the muscles around my right shoulder blade are very tight, makes it very painful to turn my neck:sad2:
So more muscle relaxers tonight.
OK, have to go back and monitor that biotch Fay.:mad:
See, I am optimistic. I was just watching a video on the weather channel website and the guy was saying if it goes here this is going to happen, if it goes there that is going to happen, but it could go here and then this could happen:confused3
Like I said Faye Shmay...she aint ruining Fockerfest!
Man...
We're flying Wed., so I'm hopeful it will be rain by then, but not much else.
But Fay is the least of my issues - check my post on TFW. :sad2: I was probably the ONLY person calling CR today asking about trip insurance that wasn't weather related. I think I scared the CM. :guilty:
