I know! Before the weather segments and during the commercials, there are reminders of what to have in your hurricane kit and hurricane fact vs myth info! So today we'll be bringing in anything we can from the yard, filling the cars with gas, getting cash, etc. :sad2:

Stay safe, Angela.

JUst wanted to Pop in and say I hope you guys will all be safe with "Fay" in the area. I know Orlando is inland... V you are not :scared:
But it look like y'all might want to bring your boats... and your hip boots. MGM ( yeah I know.. but that's what I call it) was bad in JUNE W/O a hurricane or tropical depression.

JUST STAY HERE... It's going to be lonely if ALL OF YOU GO !!!

I don't even have words after chekcing the tropical forecast this morning. I hate hurricane season. Fingers crossed, please, that I can even make it to Fockerfest at this point. :worried:

:sad2: Well, technically, I'm 4.98 miles away from the Gulf. But if you look at that map, see where it says Tampa, there's a little "foot" that sticks out into the Gulf surrounding Tampa Bay? Yeah, I'm on the West edge of that foot. :headache:

So Sorry V.. While Florida is a GREAT PLACE TO VISIT.. June-November can suck huh ??

I was sad I was not going to "Fockerfest" .. uh now Va. is sounding pretty good to me.

4.98 miles is still on the ocean... at least as far as I am concerned. I'm 4 1/2 HOURS away

Well, let's see what Jo's doing today...

She's in Magic Kingdom with a ADR at Crystal Palace for lunch. :goodvibes

Yep. :sad1:

What time would you like me to pick you up? ;)
LOL! Are you bringing a boat?! Here's the kicker... I have to cross a 7 mile bridge to get out of my county and into Tampa. Said bridge closes when winds exceed 40-ish MPH. So, even though my condo is fairly sheltered, I might not be able to get out if winds are still strong by Wed. I may show up on Thurs. after all. :sad2:

So far, it's a sunny morning here - hope she has the same in Orlando!

AND wondering if she is having "Fockerfest alone" ??
I know, right?!

I posted here and it never showed up. I will try to reconstruct the post.
V-Sorry about the weather. I will wish for it to fizzle out and just be a light drizzle for you.

What do you all bring for breakfast food? I will only have a cooler but like to not buy breakfast while there.

I also have something coming by FedEx mail today. I ordered Bug a Prince Charming costume to wear at CRT. He has such a big crush on Cinderella. I thought all those little girls get to dress up why can't he be a prince. Since he is only 4 he will go for it. By next year it would not be happening. This meal is the only one he requested this year. Even when I told him he could see her in Toontown he insisted on eating in her castle.

Janet! What happened? You said "No Hurricane, no Tropical Stroms!" :headache:
;)

So here's my conversation with Waldo this morning:

ME: "Hey there's a TS heading for FL."
W: "Really? So how does our trip insurance work?"
ME: "Gee, I don't know - I didn't buy it."
W: "WHAT? How could you plan a trip to FL during Hurricane season and not buy trip insurance"
ME: :teeth: "Well, Janet said no hurricanes!" :rolleyes1

Ok, people we really need to focus our energy on Faye and send her completely off track, right into the Gulf or something! V - you HAVE to be there! It's just not Fockerfest without you! :guilty:

 Chances are good, I think. if it stays on track time-wise, it should be done by the time I'd be on my way, though I may have to leave Thurs. AM instead of Wed. PM. The concern at this point, is how strong it'll be and how much damage might be between me and WDW.

Bob says to check this site:
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
:thumbsup2 yep, that's the gold standard for Floridians - I believe it may be mandatory for us all to have it in our Favorites file! Also, I work in county government, so I get the alerts before the public. ;)

But...but...but...Janet, our storm tracker, said Jim Cantore didn't need to don his slicker! What's up with the path of that storm?!?!?!?!?

I love Jim Cantore! We were watching The Weather Channel last night, and DH says since JC isn't here, it can't be that bad. Of course I haven't checked to see if he's here today. :rolleyes1

I may show up on Thurs. after all. :sad2:

Let me know if you need a place inland to stay! :thumbsup2

Overcast, scattered showers.

Uh, please pass those on to this public asap!

It;s gonna turn left:thumbsup2
