Well hey there fellow Hurricane Hunters!!!

Next week ought to be interesting, no? Considering I'll be on the coast till Thursday....

Hey all guess what I am doing. Cleaning up all that last minute stuff at work becasue I took and extra day and ain't coming to work tomorrow So I am filling out all of the time sheets for when I am going to be out--UNTIL SEPTEMBER 10th.

I think LL is the next to leave on Saturday V, then Kat and then me

Yep - I'm the next the go baby!! Wooo Hoooo!! I booked my night in Jax - sadly not free, but nicely discounted. Again, you gotta spend it to save it, right?

Ladies, do any of you do the trip insurance, and can I still add it if you think I should? D has suddenly started asking me what happens in case of a hurricane...

I haven't bought trip insurance. I hear they give DVC memebers like $5/per point, but you can't re-book your trip and you pretty much lost your points, so why bother. And since I'm not flying this trip, I definitely didn't even consider it.

Have final packing, etc. to get done...boy - work is really interfering with my vacation plans!!!

What's this I hear of a hurricane?? I did NOT buy trip insurance this time, naturally. But from what I read, it's a possibly hit for Miami and hopefully dwindling down after that?? Let's keep our lime green fingers crossed!

Didn't you do this last year, too? Not for Fockerfest, but sometime in the winter you lost your voice, right? Get yourself some hot tea, and gargle with apple cider vinegar. It's , but it'll cure you. Feel better soon

Well, as a Flat Host, I pretty much SUCK. Poor Flat Michelle's been stuck looking at my bedroom wall for days. But today, I'm home form work and I got FM out for a little fresh air!

First we went swimming. Gotta protect those baby blues from the horrors of chlorine and SPF is mandatory around here...

This afternoon, a "cool front" came through, dropping the humidity level and teh temp to a chilly 89 So FM enjoyed some time on my porch:

Tomorrow, I need to do a photo shoot of a client for an article I'm writing... think anyone would find it odd if I brought FM along?!


In other news, I'm reducing the amount of food I'll be bringing. Too much effort to pack so much AND I discovered my Disney Visa Rewards have piled up nicely! So now I'm just bringing bfast items, a few snacks, a couple bottles for water for refilling, and a Brita pitcher to make the water more palatable.

Bring FM!! It is weird, but a good weird!!

Bob has an infection! OMG. Things are very quickly going bad to worse here. I'm freaking out.
He has an antibiotic and an anti-inflamatory. Hope they work quick and he doesn't need surgery again! What is going on with my life???

OMG, poor Bob! FWIW, my brother had a that surgery and also got an infection. The antibiotic worked and he didn't need another surgery. Here's some ixiedust: for Bob.

Leo Shoe Update, Part 57

Well, I just had a nagging feeling that I ought to pursue the sandal thing further and wound up ordering a pair of Tevas from Endless.com. Now, they're a few dollars less elsewhere, but Endless is offering free overnight shipping - and time is of the essence here!

I'm SOOOOOO glad I got them... they fit beautifully!

No gaping, so no visible indications of future blistering. Leo gave them the thumbs' up!!

He's lying down in the bedroom. He has his blackberry, the remote and his meds. He's GUD. (Well, not really, but he's not complaining...)

I totally pooped out on dinner. I let the kids make their own. I know, I know. Carpy mom. I just don't have it in me today. Ugh. The good news is that the sitter came and met the kiddos and they loved her. And more importantly, I felt SO good after she left that she can handle anything that happens, she was so good about the panic attacks. She said she used to have them too and she was very sympathetic. I hope that he doesn't have one while we're gone but at least she is good with it.

I'm thinking of having some back-up friends come by on the two days when Megan is working (she'll be 1 1/2 miles away during the day and SD is almost 16....) I think it will just be a little extra insurance that he doesn't feel anxious...you know?

OMG! I forgot to tell you guys!!! Guess what I bought today?

LOVE IT!! I am so excited that I am pretty much only carrying THIS in the park. I just have to figure out how to fit the gum in....

Ok, now I'm really pissed. I was checking out the updated menu's at allears and noticed they took the filet off the menu at Kona. Not gud. Waldo and Andy both wanted filets. Now I'm thinking of cancelling that, but Kona night was also our Tambu meet. My other choice is to try for Narcoossee's or Citricos as they both have filets on the menu. What to do, what to do...

O.K. don't judge a suit by its cover. I think you might be shocked how I am around newer clients/work contacts, after a while I may loosen up depending on the client, but I think some of my clients would be shocked to know that I call myself a Focker and am planning a vacation around wienies.

Only 2 work days for me, I'm off tomorrow, just have to survive Monday and Tuesday.

Just got back from dinner at my Brother's. It was Ryan's b-day (he's the one that just graduated high school and is leaving for college a week from Saturday). It was a fun time, nice family dinner and Kelly is so frickin' excited, I'm so proud. We are doing it again next Wednesday as Ryan's goodbye dinner, and I have to tell you guys I don't know how I am going to say goodbye to him. He's only going 2 hours away, but it's killing me. I'm choking up just typing this. He's been my little buddy since he was born, I couldn't even begin to guess how many nights he slept over my place, etc.

Why do they have to grow up?
