Anyone else like that place?
I went there for the first time tonight and it was delicious.

I'd never even heard of these until I read about them a few months ago on the DIS :teeth:. I ate at one a few months ago (in Oklahoma :lmao: ), and it was delicious.

We're at our local one at least once a month. Initially it was very good, but the last two ribeyes I had were pretty lousy. I must have had a grumpy cow...

My daughter was upset that the Rattlesnake Bites, weren't really rattlesnake. When in Arizona we went to a roadhouse that did and she wanted to freak me out again.

Ribeyes can get that way. I always try to get sirloin. Much better steak IMHO.

I think they are pretty good, though I now prefer Logans (practically the same). They have great soup and chili at TX Roadhouse =)

No, no, no. A steak is not a STEAK unless it's a filet =)

On that note, Logans and TX Roadhouse both have fairly decent, affordable filets for a chain restaurant. MUCH better than filets at both Outback and Saltgrass, IMO.

Gosh, now I want a big filet, loaded baked potato, salad with ranch and rolls.

I had a little sirloin and it was very good. I'll try the filet next time, gotta compare ya know.

I had been doing the 8oz Dallas fillet. It was good, but not out-of-this-world good. Fillet, med-rare, Salad - 86 the egg, Blue Cheese, loaded sweet potato. Sweet tea. Simple. I had done will with the filets for a while and then had a few disappointing ones. I switched to a ribeye and it was fantastic. Absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, I now think I had the only one of its kind...

Love them! I have a difficult time deciding between the rib-eye and the portobello chicken. Looks like I'm going to have to make a trip there REAL soon.

I'm also a fillet girl but their rib-eyes are awesome, at least they have been every time I've had one.

We just ate there about 3 weeks ago and both DH & I had the NY Strips. They were yummy!! :teeth: And our kids got cowboy hats there. All the kids had cowboy hats on, it was funny!! :teeth:

What I don't like about there is the communal peanut bucket!!!!!! :crazy2:
Did you ever see that 20/20 special about germs spread at bars in the peanuts/pretzels because of people who don't wash their hands?? BLEECH!! :magnify: Sorry if that was too gross!! :teeth:

It might have been gross if we ate any peanuts. lol My little girl had the strip too and ate almost all of it. I don't know where she puts it. We did bring the leftovers home. :teeth:

We love going there to eat. We definately enjoy all their steaks and love the seasoning that they use.

It use to be our favorite place to eat, but the last few times we have eaten there, the food has been much too salty. The ribs are still the best, but I have been avoiding the steak because its just way, way too salty.

Willie Ben!!

Sorry, this is a family joke since going there on vacation 2 years ago. It was the end of a horrible day, I was tired and grouchy, and we ended up with this very nice, very good looking waiter, we didn't catch his name at first so we were joking around calling him Willie (probably to go with the music that was playing at the time)

Later in the evening, found out his real name was Ben, so now we always refer to that night as the steak place with Willie Ben.... :lmao:

Love it. We live about 6 miles from one!!! The only problem is that it's usually very cold and to darn busy!

We went to TR for my dh's early birthday dinner last Sunday. I'm not a huge fan of steak, but their's is great, I love their seasoning. However, I think they have the BEST ribs!!! Love 'em!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We love TRH. My whole family loves it and we eat there a lot, although last time I had the oven roasted chicken and it was so dry I could barely choke it down. Then speaking of choking, I got a piece of lettuce stuck in my throat and couldn't get it out. I wasn't actually choking, it was a small piece, but it had turned wrong and gotten wedged in my throat. Not TRH's fault, but that and the dry chicken, well, I'll probably take a few weeks off from eating there.
