has to be the most played out movie in the history of film making!! Holy Cripes, how many times are they going to remake the dang thing?

I saw the original over 20 years ago in high school. Scared me to death. I rarely will even look at a horror commercial. Peer Pressure.

When we saw the previews on TV, DH said, "It's no wonder we have people walking into schools shooting innocent kids."

Honestly, the clips I have seen are from a sick mind IMO.

I 100% agree. I don't see the appeal in these kinds of movies.

The original movie was made in 1974. I personally believe that people have changed a lot since then but I don't blame the movie. :(

I bet that this remake will be a lot more graphic though. Ugh.

I agree with you, Buckalew, Geoff and Aurora. How can movies like this be considered entertaining in any way?

I remember the original Halloween and Friday the 13 the movies they were the start if the slasher movies and people weren't going nuts it if they did there was hardly coverage like there is now. But you can't blame movies or music on people who are either evil from start ir mentally ill going violent. Jack the ripper didn't have movies or music to inspire him.

I for the life of me cannot understand the appeal of "death porn".
Completely agree. For me, I have no desire to watch a movie that will show lots of nudity and people going at it or lots of blood and gore. Psychological thrillers like the things Alfred Hitchcock came up with are much better, in my opinion. Alfred said, “There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it.” Also said, “Suspense is like a woman. The more left to the imagination, the more the excitement." He nailed it.

I love a good horror movie, but I don't consider any movie with "Texas" and "Chainsaw" in the title to be in that category. I would consider them more torture porn, which I cannot stand.

I keep seeing that commercial and the guy puts the saw on the girls arm and I just cringe all over. I hate movies like that, they are just too gross for me. I did love Nightmare on Elm Street when I was younger though.....
