Teva sandals

Tevas--Great for water. EVA (athletic style) midsole.

Birks--Disgusting if they get wet. Leather foot bed lining and cork midsole.

Love my Tevas. I wear them all the time in WDW and also love them while camping and kayaking. Totally comfortable and convenient!

I'm still on the quest for the perfect shoe for Disney...no blisters!

I have found that my Ecco Cosmo sandals are very comfortable but I'm not suppose to get them wet.

So how are Teva's for wide feet? Are they really good for all summer weather? Do you not get blisters?

Where can I go to try them on?

The Teva kinetic walking sandals seem like they might be good for me but can they get wet too?

Thanks!

And I want to know if they're good for NARROW feet!? lol My feet aren't REALLY narrow, but just somewhat. I'm looking for a good walking sandal. I wear size 9 or 9.5..sometimes have to go up to 10 if the shoe runs small.

DH has a pair of Teva's that are about 8 years old. They still look great, and are his favorite walking shoe! He wears them whenever we go to a theme park. They were really worth the money. Last summer while we were in Maine on vacation, I bought a pair of similar sandals from L.L. Bean. LOVE them!

I went to www.zappos.com and ordered some from there. This thread got me thinking it is about time for a new pair....old ones have been through 8 good years and a dog chewing.

Anyways, they give specifics about the fit of each style...I have a medium width, and wear a size 11 (scary DH and I wear the same size!) and I ordered the Stratum. They will come in handy for our upcoming cruises....one of our snorkling trips includes a hike, too!

Just went out and bought Teva Terra Fi for women a week or so ago.

Background on my feet :teeth: ...I am usually a 10 and anything narrow never works for me, especially across that broad part of my foot just in back of the toes.

I am loving them. I am still breaking them in but these are the first shoes in a long time where I wore them all day and my feet didn't hurt...that sore kind of hurt when you have been on your feet all day that happens in my other sandals and even my Nike walking/running shoes.

Love that there is padding on all three straps and love that all three straps are adjustable, unlike my last pair of sandals (Straprunners).

Can't wait to take them to WDW.

I've found them at Bob's Stores, EMS (or any other hunting/camping store), a sports store maybe (Dicks/Sports Authority) and of course LLBean.

I love my Tevas, but NOT for WDW.

They don't have enough arch support for that kind of all day walking.

I'm going to go on the hunt to try them on before I buy them. I'm afraid I'll regret it if I buy them sight unseen. I'm afraid I'll get the wrong size or they just aren't comfy. I bought straprunners without trying them first cause they were on sale and the bumpy bottom hurts my feet! I can't get used to that!

I am going to check out the Teva Circuit Walking Sandal and the Teva Kinetic Walking Sandal and see which is better.

I want them to be comfortable more than anything!

Thanks for this thread!

I have two pairs of the Teva Niyati flip-flops and have worn them on two WDW trips. They are wonderful and my feet have never felt tired or sore.
I bought them at a surf shop in Ocean City, NJ last year and would highly recommend them to those who don't like the Tevas with all the straps.

If you need good arch support, you would love the Terra Fi sandals. They have so much arch support I am still trying to get used to it.

I tried my Tevas on and bought them at Galyans. In MN, you can also get them at REI stores.

Here's the link to the Women's Terra Fi:

I just bought the Teva Vang sandals. They are so comfy. It would be great if they came in half sizes since an 8 1/2 would fit perfect. The 9 is too big and the 8 - my toes are kinda close to the edge. Oh well, they are still comfortable. Now I read about the Stratums and I'm thinking, hmm. Maybe should have gotten them instead.

Based on everyones postings, I think we will pick them up for our upcoming trip. Makes a lot of sense, especially since there is a good chance we will have showers every day. ::MickeyMo

Here is a great place to buy shoes....complete with reviews!
www.zappos.com

I bought Teva Ekta and Mephisto Whitney from them.......the most comfortable shoes ever made. Those are my official theme park shoes.....and they look good too:) Fast shipping and they have the best return policy.

Question for Yardbird and lissawynn,

Those Niyati Teva's look nice and comfy, but doesn't the strap between the toe become irritating? How much of a break in time?

princess:

Cindala - For me, there was no break in time. The strap between the toe is really soft, so it doesn't irritate at all. Today, I was wearing a different sandal with a between the toe piece, by the time I got home, I was ready to throw them out and wear nothing but the Teva Niyati! I told my husband that those Teva's have spoiled me and that I may never buy another "cutsie" sandal again! Honestly, they are very comfortable!

If you happen to order online, and wear a half size, size up. They only come in full sizes. For me, an 8 is really like a 7 1/2.
