Teva Sandal Question

I bought TEVA TERRA-FI 2 SPORT SANDALS after hearing so many good things about them on these boards. I've worn them a little, but when I do I can really feel the arch. It almost feels like the arch is too high. I do not have fallen arches, so I'm curious if this just normal for these shoes. Will I get used to it/will the Tevas settle down? I guess my question is this:
Should I keep wearing them and see how it goes or give them up as a lost cause?:confused3

Thanks!!

I have Teva's like those...not the Terra Fi, but something very close. They do have high arches, and since I have very high arches, I need the support. I do not think they will flatten down so to speak. I've had mine for a few years (but mainly only wear them to Disney) and they still have the high arch support. How long have you been wearing them? When is your trip? You might try another style that has a lower arch, maybe the Pretty Rugged style?

I just bought a pair of these in July and I noticed the arch when I first go them also. I've been wearing them pretty much everyday since and I don't even notice it now. I actually think the arch helps my feet feel great! I vote give them another try.:thumbsup2

I just bought the Teva Open Toachi and love them. You can feel the arch, but I have high arches and find them comfortable.

Well have they been worn too much to be able to return them? If that's already the case, I would definitely keep wearing them and see if you get used to them.

Tevas do have higher arches than a lot of shoes. When I got my first pair I thought it felt weird at first too and then I realized later on that my feet felt much better at the end of the day. I have somewhat high arches and never realized how important the arch support was until I wore shoes with good arch support!

I have Teva Sandals like that and it did take awhile to get used to them. But I love them now. My feet feel better in them than in tennis shoes or boots.

Hi
My DD has the Teva Mush and I can feel the arch in them. Everyone swears by these as being so comfortable, but I can't wear anything with an arch and I have high arches. I don't know if you'd get used to it. I know my feet would hurt from it. Good luck and I hope you find comfortable shoes.

I have the same problem with the arches. I now buy kids' sizes in the Teva Mush flipflops and they are so compfortable. They don't have the pronounced arch that the adult sizes have. I tried the Terra-Fi's too and didn't feel comfortable. I wish they had been comfortable because everyone raves about them. Maybe I didn't give it enough time??

I have these. I have flat feet and I find these very comfortable. I wore them quite a bit around town and for my 2.5 mile fitness walk several times to be sure I liked them before I wore them to WDW.

I agree with PP's that Teva generally has alot of arch support. For me, it works great, but my mother can't wear them. I wear custom orthotics for planter fasciitis and so it feels comfortable to me, but she can't stand any arch support.

Thanks everyone. I cannot return them, so I will try wearing them this weekend and see how it goes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed the high arches on these sandals.:thumbsup2
