That's so cool :)

Urgh i'm so nervous now that Comet won't pass the vetting.
I suppose it depends on how he failed it as to wether we still buy him.
*crosses fingers*
I've been checking out show jackets and ties. They do the most awesome show ties for showing and I just realised I may not even have this pony =[

Thanks Elin.
Vetting is such a minefield.
I rode a youngster for my instructor last year. The people buying it wanted it for show-jumping. It failed vetting because of a weird but harmless growth on its leg. The people were quite inexperienced and wouldn't buy the horse because they didn't understand that the leg wouldn't affect it's jumping. It was such a talented pony too.
And Murphy, my current pony if I told a vet I wanted to go show-jumping on him there's no way in hell he'd pass vetting for it and yet I show-jump him regularly.
I want to be present for the vetting so I can discuss things with the vet but my mum doesn't want to be there. The thing is she'd be like the youngsters buyers, the tiniest superficial thing wrong and she'll say no.

Aww Haz!
I have no idea about horsies or anything,, but i can tell its worrying you. But the thing is Haz, i can kinda see where your mum is coming by saying no if it doesnt pass. You know, you say your gunna use Comet for jumping right? So if he doesnt pass, i can see that it could be kinda a waste for your mum to get it for you.. you get it? But i know what you mean by saying,, you'r looking forward now to getting him. Im sorry.

I can see where my mum is coming from too and I mean if he's not fit enough or he has problems with his legs and feet I can see it's best not to buy him but i'm worried that a vet will fail him on something that really doesn't matter or get in the way of his purpose and my mum will stay say no. She wants him vetted to the highest level (hunting) which is stupid because I hate hunting and as long as he passes for cross-country and fun rides then I can build up his stamina.
I get so stressed =/

Aww Haz.
I know how you feel.. like everythings too much.

That is exactly how I feel.
And another stressful fact is i'm expected to visit Comet (if he passes) twice a day in whatever local stable we choose but through the month of november I must still ride Murphy who is about an 1hour away for 3 days a week as well.
And put the stress of fricking school on top and we're headed in the right direction for a breakdown. Infact throw in a family drama and i'll seriously have one.

Haz..
There's so much to deal with i know,, but riding is something you love,, and when everything goes thru,, you know when you get Comet, when Murphy is no longer a responsibility,, you wont hafta worry about that as much.
Family.. well you just hafta put up with them.. :)

Urgh I know I know.
I get so worked up over things.
I'm looking forward to just settling him down and bonding with him for 3 months and then taking him to some small scale competitions and building it up from there.

This is what it's like after every competition.
I'm in a state of hyperness and then it wears off and I just crash into a state of stress and depression. Seriously if this is coming down off adrenaline, well it's enough to never make me stray to drugs ever.
:goodvibes
