I guess that means you can see her then Penny! This is the one that never worked for me on the UK boards, and somehow Stu fixed it - she's not working again over here, hopefully Stu will be along soon to fix her again.

Bev,

I'm beginning to think that it might be with your host site. Here are all the things that I tried.

1. Copied your code and used it in a reply. -- Same results as you were seeing.
2. Made slight modifications to the code to see if there was anything in the code causing problems. -- Same results
3. Tried the code in a new thread. -- Same results
4. Copied the code to a web site other than the DIS. -- Same results.
5. Copied and looked at the background .gif files. -- Couldn't see any problems.
6. Uploaded your backgrounds to my web site where I also host the counter .class files. Used my site with your backgrounds. -- Worked fine.

Plus now it looks like it is working for you here.

I may have missed something but it still looks to me that it is with your web hosting site.
