We are going in June and are going to future world on the day our 2 youngest are going on the pirate cruise at the Grand Floridian. Would we be able to run over there with their passes while they are on the cruise and obtain a fast pass for test track without them activating their passes at the gate ? If we wait until we all get there I'm worried that they will be gone for the day . We would then just go back to pick them up and return to Epcot.

Unfortunately, no. If the ticket isn't scanned at the entrance it won't be good for a FastPass. You have options. You can always try to explain your situation either at the turnstile (to see if they'll let you scan the passes there) or just plead your case at the Test Track Fast Pass distribution area (they usually have an attendant staffed there).

Another option is to ask at the Grand Floridian. I know, it probably won't work, but one time we were at Crystal Palace. They sat us late so we missed our FastPass return window. Right there, they had some general use FastPasses that they gave us.

If their passes are not activated at the gate, you cannot get a fast pass for them. (at least you couldn't last year when I tried it)

Why don't you go to Epcot when it opens, go through the gate, have the kids and your spouse take them to the Pirate Cruise while you get the Test Track fast passes?

I've seen the fast pass return time at Test Track end up being 5 hours from the time you get them, when the park has only been open for 1 hour.

Good luck!

If the kids' passes are activated at Epcot and then you leave and return later with the kids, won't they need the hand stamp?
I believe once you activate a pass and then leave you need a handstamp and the pass to get back in, which the kids won't have, since they'll be at the pirate cruise.

OR you guys could go in the single rider line.
My girls and I did this about 5 times last week. just about walked right on every time.

I would consider the single rider line but my youngest is 6 and we have never been on the ride. The line has always been too long the 2 other trips we've made to Disney and one of my goals this trip is to finally ride test track. lI may try going first thing with our oldest and riding it once then talk to the CM's at the fastpass distribution to see if we could work something out. thanks for your ideas.

anyone who works at general motors can get front of the line passes by showing their work i.d.
