So if a family of 4 wants to do TT in the single rider line, how long would it take? I mean from the time the first member is done, how long until the last is done? And how would that compare with just sticking to the regular standby line?

Too many variables to give you even an estimate on the difference between single rider and regular.

If you do single-rider, you'll still be in line together. Once you get to where the put you in the cars, you'll be put in cars to fill them. Two of you may ride in the same car; all four of you may be in four separate cars. But you should be in cars right after each other, so from the time the first one finishes, the last one should be right behind them.

It really depends on teh time of day and how busy TT is.
The big variable is how many odd numbered groups go through.
My son and I have done the single rider line many times. Sometimes we have been in the same car. Other times we have been multiple cars apart.
If you have a group of 4, I would expect everyone should be done within about a 5-10 minute window. The single rider line is generally much shorter than the stand by line.

The single rider line moves pretty quickly and is great for adult groups or those with older/teen kids. If you have kids make sure they will agree to ride in a car alone with strangers next to them, before you go through the entire line only to get to the boarding area and then have them refuse. Sometimes you get lucky and two family members from the single rider line will get to be in the same car, just in different rows in the car.

Thanks. I guess that's the question, is there almost always at least on person from the single rider line in each car?

No. There are WAY too many different size parties at Disney for anyone to ever say there are almost always someone from the single rider line in a car
Is it the best single rider line at Disney? Sure. That you can say with all confidence.

We use it and just sandwich DGD in between DH and I. That way, she's always got one of us with her, aside from during the actual ride

I love the single rider line and almost always do that instead of getting a fast pass. I've never waited long, I've walked right on to 15 minute waits, but the stand by was over an hour. You might get two people in the same car, but be prepared to be in separate cars.

It really depends on the size of each group. Each vehicle holds 6 individuals in the ride vesicle, so the Single Rider line is use to keep the vehicles at 6. Some times there are 1, 2, or 3 even 3 single riders selected. Note: you might even skip some of the queue and vehicle customization, video and after go right the the final queue maze before the loading platform.

It really depends on how aggressive or actively aware the CMs are try to maximize the throughput of the ride. It really helps to listen and pay attention and be ready to move quickly to fill gaps any time the loading CMs call for Single riders. Normal Groups are often not paying attention or trying to organize the who sits where in the vehicles. The vehicles are short dispatch schedule. Some time our group lines up in the single rider line and 1, 2, 3 or even 4 of us end up in the same car.

Agree with all of the above, you will be in line together but its random as to how long each person will wait for the next empty seat. You do save some time in the pre-show as well as you bypass that.

If you enjoy this part of the experience just go through the exit first and use the design a car stations there, tap your band and then go back outside to the single rider line. Then when your boarding you can tap your band and see how your car does just as if you had designed it in the pre-show.

If you have kids this would also be an opportunity to determine a meeting place after you ride.

I didn't know you could do that? How long does it keep the design on your account? If you did one in the morning, could you try it in the afternoon?

It seems to save the design until you make a new one. Usually my dd saves the design to her band and then taps both of our touchpoints at boarding. Last trip for some reason I tapped my band when I hadn't saved the new design to my band and got an old design from a prior trip!

I love Single Rider lines...especially when I do solo trips. But...can I PLEASE ask that if someone chooses to do a single rider line (with your family or friends) that you then don't argue with the CM about having to sit together. it's a SINGLE RIDER LINE. Single. Alone. With the chance that you MIGHT be placed together, but ...mostly... by yourself.

Do they do rider swap in the single rider line? It’s DD and I and DGS. He can’t ride so I was going to use the single rider line for us no not use a FP

Thanks.

It does save the design at least the same day. I don't know when, but I think it clears after a day or so. If you tap your band at the boarding area, and you didn't create a design recently it will generate a generic car for you, possibly that's what you saw? I've never had my car design saved over multiple days, or maybe I'm just unlucky

Love single rider lines...We hardly ever get split up...and when we do, its not a big deal..i just go first and wait on the other 3.

Since you’re using SR, not sure what rider swap gets you...?
