I really miss World of Motion. It was always my favorite...

Whenever Radio Buena Vista plays music from WoM, I stop whatever I'm doing....sorry boss...and listen. Gosh, I reall miss it.... :sad2:

yeah i know what you mean, i really miss horizons and i'm scared to ride MS so....

I too loved Horizons and WOM, but reviewing the pics, it seems they were all a bit like SE. Do you suppose that's why they didn't survive? :earsboy:

I miss them both, too. They were a part of the original EPCOT and it just seems wrong that they had to go. They were like Spaceship Earth and that was ok. They were rides the whole family could ride together. It was fun picking your own ending in Horizons. And, I miss the smell of the oranges. Not every attraction has to be a thrill-type ride. It's really a shame they're gone.

I'm another one that really misses the "Old Epcot": Attractions like the old Imagination, old GM, old Horizons. I'm glad Spaceship Earth is still here!

I miss getting off the GM ride and walking through the room of cars. And the ride itself was so fun too :)

So many of the older rides had a real theme to them. Not just a plot or background as many newer rides have, but a real overarching theme. A very Walt Disney-like theme, joining the themes of progress with the theme of the family. Imaginative, but practical at the same time, and fun all around :)

*Realizing I said theme way too much...but hey, Disneyworld is a "theme" park!"*

P.S. Thanks to Princess Wannabe for providing those links! :wave2: i haven't seen them before and am gonna check them out now!! :)

As you see, you aren't alone!! Add me to that list. Sadly, folks like us are in a distinct minority, and Disney goes with what they believe the "people" want.
The only saving grace is that we at least got to see World of Motion, Horizons, etcetc. THink of all the folks who will never have that opportunity!!

HERE HERE! As a child my two favorite rides where Horizons and World of Motion... It made me so sad when they closed.

My parents always let me choose how we would end horizons.. I have great memories from both of those rides.

Does anyone have that video ride footage of both rides I have head that is floating around?

And The Submarine.. That was so Disney and was always the first thing we had to do when we hit MK...

Thinking about this I need to email my folks and thank them for putting up with my in WDW :)

Ride Footage anyone? please :)

I agree. I loved World of Motion. I fear the old style animatronics rides are becomming a thing of the past. :(

 Ohhh, I hadn't seen those websites! Thanks very much! :Pinkbounc

the old journey into imagination was my favorite ride since it opened. please bring it back! please please!

One little spark of inspiration, is at the heart of all creation. Right at the start, of everything that's new, one little spark, lights up for you.

sigh how i miss you figment! thank you so much princess wannabe! I started reading and singing along in my head (i'm at work and i didnt think they would appreciate my singing of the imagination song!) :)

swtnikki- I apparently dont have the software on my work computer to see the footage so i'm currently just listening to it. Hopefully my new Dell will have it!

Aww, it's alright. I was just helping, but listening to it is better than nothing.

THat's my feeling exactly.
When you read a post like this one, it can seem that there are hordes of folks like us who feel the same way. But my guess is that we're outnumbered about 5 to 1 by those who feel exactly the opposite and would love to see nothing BUT thrill rides. And Disney is on their side!! It will be a struggle to keep around what's left of our kind of attractions.

Here's the site w/the orginal Horizons & Journey Into Imagination rides. They're big files though, about 100 mb each. But they're worth it. :teeth: http://dizneyworld.com/main.htm

You get a virtual hug! Thanks so much... This brings back so many memories of my childhood. I know there is footage like this from World of Motion as well. Any more sites?

My thoughts exactly.
And like another poster, I, too, am afraid to try MS (motion sickness)
I really wish disney would consult me before making any changes! :teeth:

I'm a HUGE fan of thrill rides and I do wish they had more at WDW, but my issue is don't replace amazing rides with a quazi thrill ride that's really not that cool at all (TT)
