Test track height requirement??

My son is 44 inches and is so excited to ride test track. All of the info that I have been reading says the height requirement is 40 inches. My cousin is visiting disney now and said there is a sign posted that says the requirement is 48 inches. Does anyone know for sure? I want to avoid the disappointment if my son cannot ride.. Thanks in advance!

I think that the only ride that he won't be able to ride is RnRC.

Also primeval whirl and things like driving your own car at the speedway. Also there are a few slides at the water parks that are at least 48".

That is assuming that the child is actually a Disney-measured 44 inches.
(And those measurements are taken at each "Height-Restricted" attraction's entrance -AND- at the boarding area.
Sometimes -if it's "close"- the child may pass. Sometimes not.
(Even on the same attraction, same day.)

Expedition Everest has a 44" minimum.
Mission Space has a 44" minimum.
Space Mountain has a 44" minimum.


Plus:
Primeval Whirl has a 48" minimum.
Sum of All Thrills has a 48" minimum.
Tomorrowland Speedway has a 54" minimum to DRIVE.

My 42" daughter rode it twice this past week. They didn't even measure her on her second ride. In fact, I was shocked at how few times anyone did measure her. I think it happened twice, and only at the entrance to the ride. She was never measured again before getting on the ride. And she also rode Soarin, Big Thunder Mtn, Barnstormer, and a few others with height restrictions.

Three of those rides have a 40" requirement (barnstormer even less) so at 42" she is 2 inches over the line. That's the reason she wasn't checked.

Geez people. I am so glad you are so amazingly able to visually gauge 2 inches at a moment's glance. I am quite aware she was 2 inches over the requirement for those rides. I am not stupid. I was just surprised more people did not check her. After reading countless threads on here about how vigilant they are with measuring kids close to the requirements, I expected it to be a common thing. I was just trying to be helpful. I won't make that mistake on here again.

Generally speaking, the CMs are pretty good at gauging height. A two inch difference is likely significant enough for them to not bother checking. I don't know what happened on EE.

Not sure what was posted that prompted this response, but I was going to add to my prior post (had to get back to work) that CM's see thousands of kids everyday and are a pretty good judge and can also pick up cues from things like railings. The kids also have to walk right past the stick.

I often wonder if they build things into the queue that's at the height requirement so CM's can do a quick check without pulling everyone kid out of line. They are not going to measure a kid unless they have to.

As to reading other posts that they measured their kid at every ride, you will notice these are the border line kids.

I read loads of posts most days that are snarky or " seeming attacking" and I saw nothing in the above posts to feel as though the poster was being made to feel stupid? ( maybe it was an off day)? Or they read something into it that wasn't quite there.
