mic--saw where that was going to be on but forgot about it...i bet they gave away some huge prizes.

mac--hope you ended up getting some sleep last night.

ocm--hope you are feeling a little better today

tony--keep us updated. How is your mom doing? did she go in yesterday?

ed--you need to get your butt back to the right office....that is the office that lets you play with us.

ks--how is mom doing? is she less confused now that she is back at home?

bob--does nicole have any out of town travels where you will be a single dady any time soon?

gant--it is so good when you can bop in...hope it becomes an everyday thing again.

all semi-quiet on the western (PA) front

wish y'all could have seen me this morning -- I was waiting in the car to take youngest DS to school, out of the corner of my eye I saw a small black blur (poochie making a break for it again/a loose schipperke is a lost schipperke ). DS didn't close the door properly when he went back in to retrieve a pencil.

...and the chase was on, thru the brush of the woods; duck under branches etc. Dog has gotten smart enough to not take the beaten path. I got stuck in the mud ala a wilderbeast, course I was wearing my jammies and new slippers (big foot lives!). Glad hunting season is over, i could've been a goner . Poor DS got an ear-beating all the way in to school, think this is the 3 time in a week...wonder if it sunk in this time? kids gotta luv 'em.

Not sure what's on the agenda today, ever have that feeling that you forgot something important?

gant - those are some ample bunns (never seen a 3 pot one before ).

mac - sleep my pretty, i shall send that butterfly over to you (the creepy one from the sleep aid commercial)

mic - off to the salt mines

pam - bet you have those days crossed off on the calendar - sleeping in is very cool.

bob - is that hawaii trip plans finalized yet? We live for gory details lol.

I coulda been rich if i had thought to video tape the romp american's most funny home videos. DH threw the load of laundry in today, wanted to know how my slippers got muddy . He wanted to know if I had my "gutchies" on = translation "underwear". Poor man must need some lovin' He's on vacation until Memorial Day, the great wall of Springdale needs completion...boring details to follow lol...hope he doesn't need an ER visit this time.

ed - have a grrrreat day with Conner, we'll do a reverse rain dance for you! Sort of like Riverdance; but we wear crocs instead of clogs.

Kept thinking today was Friday, i'm all turned around this week or platinum blonde. Taking mom to 1st PT session tomorrow, she's not a happy camper; trying to make deals w/the devil to avoid it.

mac - we'll take you anyway we can get you - blonde, bald, whatever...you're a-okay in our book

Update on Mom.....Next Wednesday she goes the the plastic surgeon to have more of the "spot" taken out. There seems to be a difference of opinion as to when and how they can do this because of the blood thinner she is on ( s.p. Cumadin) and if she has to be off of it for a week before the procedure or not. They have gotten to different answers...one was yes you have to be off of it, that was from her heart doctor and no we will be extra careful was from the plastic surgeons office.......

OCM is feeling MUCH better so that's great news today.....Have a good weekend eveyone.......

OK...I'M HOME FROM WORK AND FINALLY, THE LIGHTBULB WENT OFF...THE SPOT YOU ARE REFERRING TO IS YOUR MOM....I WAS THINKING OF OUR LITTLE SWEET FRIEND, THAT IS HOW I WAS CONFUSING ... MYSELF NO LESS.....NOW I GET IT....So, I hope your Mom does well with any procedure they decide on, and what have you heard from little Miss Lovin'?

KS, I haven't watched ER yet, but when I do, we will dish......sounds like it must be a good season cliff hanger... Although just about every year they have a good season finale......

My mom had to see a PT when she broke her shoulder, and she groused about it the whole time, but at 80, I guess you have a right

The last few seasons on AI, they have had contestants with some "pro" background. A lot of the people this year had some sort of pro work in their resume's, several having been back-up singers for big names, and I think Chris and Blake both have/had bands they performed with. I know, it isn't truely finding that raw singing talent that had never seen the light of day before... but the show has evolved a LOT since the first one. All the band stuff, back up singers they provide, the glamming up of the contestants as the weeks wear on and the overall "professional air" it has as the finale approaches. All good for ratings and $$ I'm guessing. It does seem to make it a slight disadvantage for the singer that has not had any type of pro background, but I guess if you can sing and get the votes, any one could make it through. To me what makes those that have some sort of stage experience have the edge is they understand being in front of millions, being on the stage and I guess having a little bit more ease at doing it all. Melinda obviously had lots of background, I read an article about her someplace, so the "gosh, golly gee whiz, I can't believe you like me" act may have been that, an act. I think the girl can sing, but she doesn't fit the image to me of what the show is promoting. I really though Blake was the goner this week though. It will be an interesting finale also.
