Hi all....and good afternoon to our favorite robot, glad to hear from you....even if you are hanging out with icepops.....

brrr...that doesn't sound like a good way to pass time, jumping in freezing water...I'm more a warm water kinda gal...I see my man Kevin Costner started the race for ya Gant.....enjoy watching it
I really have no say about school anymore, as my kids are grown. My grandson goes to year round school. They still have breaks from it, but I guess year round keeps continuity for them in their subjects. This is such a different world we live in, things I didn't learn til later grades, is being taught in earlier grades now. Sometimes, I feel they push kids too much and expect a lot from them and that is why kids seem to have problems, that is just my 2cents though. I think the amount of homework they give younger kids is obscene at times...kids need down time to and not be in brain overload. There are more working parents today also, and longer school days combined with homework and activities could really be stressful for the whole family. I think it's hard enough for working parents to have a little family time in the evenings with their kids. Around here, they actually have started middle & high school classes earlier, saying kids are apt to learn more with early rising, early to class. Kids groaned about it a lot too. The problem is how early some kids have to catch a bus. I remember I started high school at 7:50 and we got out at 2:05. I'm not a scholar, but I made it through and I don't think I was damaged for life with those hours. Let me tell ya, kids should enjoy the school years, regardless of hours etc., cause the real world will be way harder than any school years.
Snow has stopped, dh got sidewalks cleared up, so unless we get that wintry mix, we should be ok tomorrow...it still is a pretty snow, but glad it stopped.
