It is Hump day

Sounds fun...count me in...i won't dance on the tables as i am NOT a dancer BUT I will drink with the rest of you...a good cocktail and some friends is always a good time!

We really miss our MIA's!!! Hope they come back soon!

I have to go and do my taxes today I hope it turns out good this year. I am worried every year until the papers are signed and I am ahead.

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light woo-hoo (figure Sting & Trudi need some $ to keep that castle afloat lol); missed them on the Grammies; what song did they perform?

I'm always up for a pub crawl . Funny you mention dancin on the tables. One 'upscale' establishment I moonlighted @ started to lose it's luster with the 'in crowd' and sales declined. Might have had something to do with the extra-ciricular sales of pharmacueticals in the back office & the crowd that drew; but I digress...owner had the bad idea to ask the waitresses to dance on low tables he installed; ala go-go girls. After a while he said I could too and he'd cover for me @ the bar .

If KS's going to dance for a crowd; it won't be free ...next job!

My taxes are getting done today too. I am hoping for 8 to 9k back..so wish me luck with that!!

Ok..you all can drink..I'll dance. Just do me a favor and keep my ice water filled. Once I get moving, I tend to forget to stop.

I miss our MIA's too. hope everything is going well for them.

WHOO HOO KS!! I danced for money once too. It was more because I was mad at Lee, but it was something that everyone shoudl try once. They asked me back, but I declined.

Anyway, Ed that is wicked awesome about the tickets!!

It's going to be 65 to 70 here all week. I'm so excited, but it is raining today.

Off to get the girls ready for school and dance. I have a meeting with the marriage counselor again today. Wish me luck.

Nico's ice skating test is tonight. The teacher on Monday said he should pass without a problem. If he passes, I need to start getting the money together for ice hockey skates.

I know some of you already know this, but did I tell the rest of you that the woman selling the passion party stuff asked me to have sex with her?

Pam, yippee for warmer temps, it is already 40 something here, sun is out, and hopefully the big thawout will commence.

KS, funny story about your old bartending boss wanting you to dance on a table, and gee, he couldn't figure out why things were going south?? After seeing your story, makes complete sense to me.

Wow Momma, $8 or $9 K back...that is a lot of money to be letting Uncle Sam hold on to all year...but I hope you do that well, that would be a lot of trips to WDW As I mentioned awhile back, it was not a good year for us, but hopefully we will be in better shape next time. Not fretting over it, gotta go with the flow, or I'd end up in the looney ward, not that it might not turn out to be entertaining...but.......

What is this "refund" you folks speak of?

Unfortunately, the days of refunds for us are now over and done with -- we'll be writing a lot of large checks to Uncle Sam for years to come.

I'm still afraid of the tax credit for the water heater I submitted, just didn't seem "right" despite re-reading the booklet several times; far too generous on a $1 K expenditure. hope it doesn't bite me

I turned down the big chance to dance on the box ; tips on the bar - not on the body . Must say I had my most modest uniform there though??? White tuxedo shirt/bow tie & black shorts/nylons/black reeboks (to keep me from falling on slippy floor). Turned down a few jobs once I saw what they wanted me to wear. I'm so dense; mentioned to DH (who I picked up in a bar - when I was working lol) that I couldn't figure out why all the guys clustered in the seats around the beer cooler & sink...had something to do with the view. pigs

present male company excluded, of course

ocm - hey, if dancin is your thang; why not; long as you're safe & happy with your decision. BTW, ice hockey is a very expensive hobby; DS still annoyed I wouldn't spring for it. As I told him, #1 son was still in college; what comes around, goes around. Youngest DS tells me that there are quite a few young women in the clubs' audience these days; both solo & with male dates (always nice when your kids share with you ).

I'm sorry about the refund thing. I do let the government keep more of my money than I should. But I had to pay one time and I swore after that I would never have that happen again.

So Lee never lists children on his work forms so that we get the money back from them.

just got back from taking my taxes in. She told me that she doesn't see where we would be stuck but until i see the final figures i am holding my breath.

It is 60 here today...break out the shorts and sunglasses

anyway, off to make some snack for the kids...just wanted to stop in....now pass me another beer, ks and ocm man your post...mic will stay here with me so she can remind me of everything that happened

we are paying in big time again this year.
it doesn't faze mr mac but it bothers me.


ocm, that is a lot to get back in federal this year.
you should add dependents during the year so you break even when you file.
the government does not give you any interest on all the money they keep of yours all year. you are better off breaking even and investing that extra money each month.

ice hockey, yup, it is expensive. my oldest bought all that equipment and then got cut from the team after awhile. wait, he didn't buy the stuff, mom did. no wonder he didn't stress over losing all that money..

am idol wasn't good last night. none of the guys blew me away. i was hoping for sundance to do good but he was average.
guess it will be the girls tonight that pull it off.

mac--so sorry you have to pay in!! I know it really stinks to think about. I also would rather overpay then not pay in enough and figure out where it is going to come from. It would be different if i didn't own my own business and was able to figure out how much money i need to pay for my taxes.

Mac, the guys last night sucked big time...I wasn't impressed at all.

The girls were better, but I can see where this is going, Simon has a couple he has his "eye" on, so I figure they will be prominently featured or put in a good light every week. The girls sure can sing though. A couple need to go, but overall, they all can belt it out.
