Oh no Ed that sucks. Im glad he is feeling better but sorry you guys had to miss Bob. I saw him a long time ago. Late 80's? early 90's? its a blurr now, lol.

Morning friends:goodvibes

Oh geez Ed, that sucks about the concert:sad1: but as we all can say, being a parent isn't easy....glad he is feeling better, hope you get to see Bob another time

Momma, love the report and what a cute photo....ahhh...those kids sure look happy, especially the oldest one..;) :rotfl:

and we need a bump why:confused3

Pam, I was up, just not on the computer, I watched a movie til 2:30 a.m. but it was pretty good, I wasn't falling asleep, so I watched it all.

Mac, how are things out in the tundra?:)

morning all!

I am getting the mother of the year award and letting the kids skip sunday school today:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 They were all up late and i just said heck with it as they haven't slept in for a long time. We will get back on schedule next week.

Trent has a basketball game today...i am sure it will be ugly.............again:sad2: You know, this will be one season I will be happy when it ends.

Ed--sorry you had a sickie and altered your plans. It always stinks when things don't go your way. I am glad Chris is feeling better though.

Ocm--great trip report!:thumbsup2

Deena--did the little girl ever wake up so you can play with her?

Mic--what movie did you watch?

KS--where are you?

tvt--you looked like you were having a good time in the pictures. I was going to tell you...I think i saw your twin....there is a guy here in town that looks alot like you....well from the pictures anyway.

mac--where have you been hiding?

gant--is it this weekend you are in New Orleans?

bob--did you get your passports all set?

Hi!

I've been @ church ALL day, youngest DS had 1st mass preparing for confirmation w/his sponsor ::cop: jeremy (who is still waiting for paperwork go thru on hiring, boro hasn't approved the budget yet either...grr.). Why is it that kids can get up for school, work, etc., but soon as you mention church; they sleep like the dead.:confused3 Least we got there in plenty of time...mass drug on zzzzzzzzzzz. then off to the chinese buffet, i'm sooo stuffed, Miss Piggy's got nothing on me.

Pam when you get rid of your blimp come start on mine...everytime i go on a diet, i gain more weight.:sad2: Have been walking on my new treadmill :woohoo: 'ya right lol, hate it...put in in the livingroom so it mocks me & i knock off a mile or 2 to show it who's boss.lol. Tell Noah to hang in there (i'm rooting for the end of basketball season, it's been a loooong losing season).

mic - i've bought the scrapbooking, just nowhere to spead out. Few of my friends go to scrapbooking weekends, where they rent a conference room & have @ it for a few days. They tell me it's the only way to go, no interruptions. My family would go for that when *ell freezes over.

ed - that's a shame, hope your son is feeling better.

deena - how's the weather out in the great state of Texas? Do you get "cold weather" where you live?

ocm - great report & pic too! keep them coming! How did you like the Swan/Dolpin? Will have to tell DS he just missed the crowds. Sez he wants to go back same time year (think he wrangling for my points - ha!)

mac - did you get onto the board yet...saw mac post on another thread, some issues signing on I think.

Mother of the Year....cool....you are a good Mom

Not much going on here, put some Valentine's stuff out...

Having trouble with the Dis loading slow, so it is discouraging me from hanging out here...

Later.....

finally got on the board, then i had to pray for the forgiveness of the sins of all the bad words i was using.....:rolleyes1

kiesha, would you be up to doing an essay nomination for me?
i'll do one for you.....

while we are at this diet/food topic all i can say is i look like a balloon without the string at this point.

i gained some weight and hate it.
almost hate it as much as i do the snow and zero temps we are having.

of course mac! at least i'd have one;)

i'm confused as to whether they're still accepting them or not:confused3
Think on Friday it was stated that Ty would post a new thread...haven't seen it yet?

Is it supposed to be a 200 or 250 word tome?

yup a new thread came up and apps have to be in within 24 hours of when c-6 is due.
think that is wednesday night.

250 words max on the nomination essay.

it's so cold here and all week is not going to be much better.
i bet i get calls for work this week.

you're covered:thumbsup2

off to drive in an blindling snow squall to drop DS & buds off @ the movies (i need my head examined;) )...actually, i need a long, uninterrupted hot soak in a bubble bath. Said 1st action greatly increases my odds of that happening.:woohoo:

Good luck driving in the snow it was actually nice out tohere today got to 37 break out the board shorts and tank tops.

Ya my sickie is fine, yesterday fever, throwing sore throat sleeping most of the time, today scarfing down everything in sight playing video games running amoke through the house. :confused3

Typical boys Ed....:goodvibes I am glad he is feeling better though...my kids would get the 24 hr. stuff, sick as dogs one day, fine the next......:confused3

Wow, a whopping 37 degrees huh? Heat wave for you New Englander's...it was around that here today too.

Mac, we should all get on the salad trail...:cool1: I've done really good the last few days, so I'm determined to behave...remember, I said slap me silly if you see me going for something unhealthy...I've just made a huge salad the last several evenings for my dinner, enough to fill me up...cutting out even the low carb bread for a bit...I'm disgusted with myself for letting the lbs. creep back........grrrrrrrrr...it's not awful, but you let a couple come back, and next thing you know, they all come back for a visit.. and make themselves at home and want to stay

evening gang!

just went and gave some of my money to sam walton:sad2: I guess if i were to go to my regular grocery store here I would have spent tons more so i shouldn'g complain.

Ed--that is what it got upto here today. Is what I can't believe is how many stupid people are going out in shorts and t-shirts! I think i counted 4 of them at the store tonight.

ks--sounds like you had a busy day today. Trent's game was ugly again today...it was 18-6:sad2:

i have done so much :laundy: today...i guess that way i don't have to do it tomorrow.

you know, i may just head for bed...i am sooo tired i can hardly keep my eyes open.

See you all in the morning!

Ed - Tell Chris I am glad he is feeling better. Nico had that Friday. He came home and I was going to take him to Charlottes Web for our date night, but he didn';t want to go anywhere. The next day he was completely fine.

Keisha - Your son is right about going this time of year. Now and Sept, if they do the free dinning. There is no one there the week after labor day. It's so nice to walk around and not have anyone in your personal space.:thumbsup2

Pam - sorry about the game. Bummer. Have a good night.

Can I just tell all of you that while Im sorry that we are all feeling like we have gained too much weight, it's nice that we can complain to each other about it and really understand how we feel.

Ok, I'm going to try to post part two with pics

I was glad we got to the Nemo ride when we did. The times guide for that day had said that the show was running at 3pm and 4:30pm. When we got there, we realized that the last show was at 3pm. Thank goodness we made it. While in line, I decided to take Julie to the bathroom. While I was in there, I found a cell phone sitting on the floor. I picked it up and looked through the contacts to see if there was an emergency number listed. There wasn't, but when I opened it up, it had a picture of a puppy and it said "Mom's Cell". In the contact, there was a Pop's cell, it was the only number that made sense for me to call. I called "Pop's Cell" and explained that I had found that phone and I was turning it into a Kiosk right outside the bathroom in front of the Nemo Show. I also called the contact listing "home" and left a message there as well.

I once lost my cell at Universal and I know I would have been so happy if someone had called me to tell me they found it and they were turning it in. Since I didn't have insurance on my phone, I had to buy a new one for over $350. I was just hoping this person didn't have the same hassle.

I got back in line and told the others what happened. "You called using the person's cell phone?" Lee asked me.

"Uh, yeah, I hope she gets the message and finds it." I said, genuinely concerned.

"You went through their personal phone numbers and used their minutes to call people? I would be so mad if someone did that to my phone." He said, a little taken back that I would do something like that.:sad2:

I think I would do it again given the same scenario. The bottom line is, I was trying to help. I didn't pick up their phone and call anyone I knew. I made two phone calls trying to help the person find their phone. But, I won't ever go through Lee's cell that is for sure.;)

Disney recommends to be in line at least a half hour before the show started to make sure you get a seat. We were in line about that time and there were quite a few people in front of us. Once we got seated, we still had to wait a good 10-15 minutes before the show. I would rather have my kids laughing than crying, so I always tickle and play with my kids while I have to wait for a show like that. It rarely bothers anybody, as most people would rather listen to kids laughing than crying.

In front of us, there was a mom with 4 kids who kept looking back and smiling and laughing with us. They were a little older than my kids, but very sweet. All of the sudden a lady is standing next to those kids with a security guard. "These kids are being terrible and disturbing me. They keep turning around and bumping into my seat." She said, in a mean nasty tone.:maleficen

The kids looked stunned as the security guard said almost apologetically, "We just ask that all people be respectful, if you could just be mindful of everyone here."

I had no idea where this lady came from, until she sat down in front of the kids, two rows in front of me. I leaned down to the kids and said, "This is when you wish you had popcorn and you could start throwing it at that old witch."popcorn::

"Yeah, for real." The 12yo said to me.

Later in the show, they let bubbles drop down from the ceiling for the kids. The mean old witch stands up, blocking my kids and the kids in front of her, and starts reaching for and popping the bubbles as if she was 5. :rolleyes2 I was so annoyed because we all couldn't see, talk about being highly disruptive. I was about to go back and get the guard have him tell her to sit down so we could see. I decided a witch like that wasn't worth my effort.

The Nemo show was excellent!! :thumbsup2 I highly recommend it. The kids loved it and the singing was very good. As we were walking out Lee asked me, "Did you like that better than Tarzan?"

"Uh, I miss looking at Tarzan, but this show was really good for other reasons." I said, smiling as I remembered how amazing Tarzan looked. :smokin:

"This show had a lot more talent," both guys agreed as I was still smiling thinking about Tarzan. YUM!

Next we walked to Expedition Everest. Lee had never ridden this before so he was looking forward to it. He and TVT rode it while the kids and I waited. They used the front of the line passes we had gotten for getting stuck on Triceratops spin, so they were on and off relatively quick. Lee loved the ride. He got off and asked, "why didn't you go on with me?"

"well, we have three kids who refuse or are too little to ride it. Tony got the Front of the line passes, not me, and really it isn't his job to sit with our kids while you and I ride rides." I explained. He just shrugged at me and walked away. I thought I had made a point, and I think he got it, for the moment anyway.

Now we decided that the park was really just too crowded and we were fairly exhausted still from waking up at 2am that morning. We decided to leave and go get ribs at Tony Romas. I had just eaten that burger at Five Guys, so I wasn't the least bit hungry, but everyone else ordered. The food took a lot longer than expected. I almost got a manager as we must have been sitting there for about a half hour after the order had been taken and before we had gotten our food. The food finally came and the guys were not happy with it. They said that it was not as good as usual. I doubt we will be going back there anytime soon. We finally left about 2 hours after arriving there and made our way back to the Swan. Everyone needed to get to bed and get some sleep.

Mornign Everyone

TVT is stuck in bed thsi morning, literally. He has back problems that he was suppose to get surgery on years ago. He never did, and all day yesterday he was in a lot of pain. This Morning I called to see how he was and he can't move.

Let's say some prayers that he is up and moving again soon.

I'm running late, so GOOD MORNING one and all....will read your trip report when I get to work Momma....

Tony, feel better! Sorry to hear about the back, heck to get old ain't it:hug:

Pam, Uncle Sam the store, Uncle Sam the government always takes our money:mad:

Bye, more later

Morning all :)

We're getting pretty well dumped on with snow -- but that's just life in Cleveland in January. :upsidedow

It was cold here waiting for the bus. I would rather be in 90 degree weather year round than have it get this cold.

Morning everyone!

We are suppose to get snow later in the week with very low temps. It wasn't to terribly bad this morning but the wind is suppse to pick up.

Tony--hope you feel better soon. You should get that back of yours looked at again....it's amazing what they can do now.

Aubrey is staying home from school today. She stepped on a monoply piece...the cannon to be exact...you know the one with the pointy thing sticking up. It went through her foot and has not walked on it since. It is pretty deep and the area is swollen around it. I feel bad because I didn't put two and two together that she wasn't walking last night....she was being a puppy dog and crawling everywhere. She didn't say it hurt anymore so i thought it was better until this morning when she won't even stand on it.:sad1:
