Truth be told I'm a dog person but we are not home enough to have a dog.

My new stove came at 8:59, they were 1 minute early I do so love Sear's way of setting up delivery, easy as pie and so far has been right on the money.........no sitting around waiting for the delivery man who NEVER seems to show up.....woohoo...it's so nice and clean, maybe I will just look at it and not cook on it

i have a lot of worries right now.
son in mexico was robbed and is not safe living there.

a quick phone call from him while i was driving on saturday and then a hurried email sunday from him.

he said he would call me monday and the phone went dead. that happened saturday.

i can't work until i hear from him.


i need to check airfares but too frazzled to do so today.

keep us in prayers along with mic and her mom and mil's health concerns.


now, i need to drop this and become productive to keep sane.

we can talk about hootchie mommas.............
that always leads to something witty and fun.
sweets, don't take that the wrong way. i, in years past, would post jokes about me dressing like a hootchie momma.

Awe you guys are so sweet. For now, i'm not going to change much. I need to lose about 10lbs, but other than that, Im not changing anything for now.

Mac - your son and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mic - WHOO HOO..a new stove is always fun.

Pam - I wish they were joking. One may have been, I can't really say I know her well enough to know either way. However, the other one expanded with comments that were incredibly rude. The funny thing is, of all the people, she was the one I was closest to. So, I did say something to her. I looked at it this way..if she felt we were close enough to make the comments she made, I felt close enough to tell her how mean those comments were. We'll see what happens.

I've never used either of those terms and really have heard other people use them only meanly. Never as a joke, so maybe the one woman really did mean it as a joke. Maybe it's a midwestern or southern thing to joke with those terms.

Just don't ever go north and use those words as a joke..it won't be taken that way.

ocm - is that chick blind? hefer - wth? (btw, i do so adore rocko & hefer). That term is fightin' words. As for hoochie mama...I've worked hard all my life to attain that status , just w/one man though. In certain quarters, that is a success story. As for me, forget that strong, independent woman role (been there, done that for myself & family...not much fun IMO), nice to be taken care of & cherished too for a change.

Have been cleaning since 7:30 a.m., took a break for cuppa coffee. I thought I had another week before Thanksgiving...i am slipping.

Neighbor's been @ it with his leafblower @ about the same time, i've got such a headache...no way does the idiot have that many leaves...hope it overheats & breaks.

I have never used the terms either, but have heard them used in a joking manner. I guess I don't know the manner they were used in but i would think it would be a joking manner.

Oh I know what you mean..I still havent called to find someone to come clean my house next tuesday morning.

I had to figure out who was sleeping where and more organizing rather than cleaning. I leave all that to the pros.
