Pam, I have a little kids set of drums on the attic, that have been up there for probably 20 or so years, someone gave them to us brand new for the boys, and I never could force myself to give them to the boys...TOO MUCH NOISE :thumbsup2 They may be all dried up and gooey after all this time :goodvibes

Not much happening, raining here..blech

Oh, I love the photo and think it will make a very nice cake topping... :teeth: Make sure you trim in PINK

Whoo Hoo.. a drum set!! Wicked fun :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I will have to do that!!

ocm:confused3 "delivered" fried turkey?

I usually make a 20+ pd whole turkey & 3 double breasts, along w/a spiral ham...our families like to eat:thumbsup2

We eat turkey/ham @ least once a month or so...I like the fact that I get @ least 2 or 3 meals out of it (nice to get a couple days off kitchen duty). I even taught DH how to cook a frozen turkey breast when I was out of commission a few years ago for a month; he was so proud.
wink.gif

Careful w/the pic cake. Sam's tells me the reason the pic on cake came out green was because i printed it off a jpg file i was emailed. I'm not computer savy enough to know whether it's bs or fact lol.

pam My sons have electronic drums, keyboard & guitars (middle one had a band w/few gigs). I went thru many pairs of ear plugs. Check out the music store that outfits your school for band instruments...we've always had good luck with gently used instruments.

thanks guys!! I always know i can come to you and ask my dumb questions to! :teeth:

I am thinking that my house will never be the same after this christmas with trent getting the electric guitar and now if noah gets a drum set....i am sure i will need calgon to take me away.....daily!!!! :teeth:

No worries its direct from my camera. I'll have to go to the photo shop and print it out, but that will be fine.

Yes, delivered fried turkey. It's very dangerous to fry a turkey and since none of us (except TVT) have ever had a fried turkey (and given my rep about cooking turkeys) Im having mine delivered by a local company thanksgiving day. Everyone has said fried turkey is amazing..so Im willing to try it.

Suprisingly..my mom was all for it, but my brother was objecting. My mom has heard good things about it too. Neither of us like fried chicken, but we have heard its nothing like that. What they heck..it cant be worse than serving them frozen turkey. :lmao:

KS that is a ton of food. I'm not a huge fan of any food, so all that food would go to waste in my house. But that is awesome for your family. I bet your son was proud...I cant cook a turkey, so Im proud of him too. :thumbsup2

might want to ask santa for a years' supply of calgon & a case of vino too:sunny:

I've never heard of a fried turkey, wonder how they do it?

We're a bunch of carnivores I'm afraid, wait till your little ones get older, they'll eat you out of house & home lol.

DH not DS was the chef. I had frozen a few weeks of meals for him to thaw & heat but, he did do some actual cooking...steaks, chops, hamburgers, etc. Of course he hasn't touched the stove since.:lmao:

Did everyone go vote today? I know you guys are jealous that you couldnt vote to get Kinky ;) :teeth:

deena, sorry couldn't vote for kinky...

i voted over 2 weeks ago.
you can do that in illinois. vote up to 3 weeks in advance but one week before the elections.

what is this that none of you have heard of fried turkey???

i grew up on them.
my parents have the fryer that is made for those types of meats.
you deep fry it, the outside turns black and the inside is the sweetest meat you have ever had.

i would do a fried turkey but don't have that fryer, mom does.

i might get it from her the next time i see her. she doesn't cook whole turkeys anymore since its just the two of them on holidays and year round.

you will love a deep fried turkey !!

Sorry I mixed your guys up KS. I hadn't heard of fried turkey until this year either. I thought it was a southern thing, but since Mac and Ed posted..i guess not.

Anyway, everyone has said it's suppose to be wicked good, so what the heck. I hate turkey..so it won't ruin my meal if no one likes it. :teeth:

I love turkeys;)

Frying makes everything better:)

Where I come from, we keep barrels of sauerkraut in the basement...to help wash down our pierogis & halupki.

dave's sister fried a turkey for thanksgiving a couple of years ago...noah who is not a turkey lover LOVED it...gobbled( :lmao: ) it right up!

You can get turky fryers from almost anywhere no days.

I will have to check out some music stores.
