I'm taking a break...an extended one; would like to think I'm retired "fer sure" this time.

Unfortunately, some unexpected obligation always seems to come along & force me back out the door (last one was dear departed MIL funeral...no insurance). I put the funeral on a credit card (bizarre imo). Took the first job I could find & paid it off. Got lots of mileage with that one, both airline & w/DH.

Between being @ my mom's beck & call, my kiddos see me as their personal valet...guess I've found my niche...lol. More often than not wish I could go to work just to get away from the zoo.

Do plan on dusting off my RE license before it expires, good to have a back-up plan, just in case.

i took off work all this week. just not in me to work recently.
think i will cut back on my days from now on. or at least until i want to travel down to the motherland next year.

i told mr mac i wanted to take 2 trips to orlando this year.
he said he would spring for one of them.

in my mind planning to do epcots 25th anniversary for oct 1st so will make one trip around that period.
the other one, still not sure when .



i'm staying home today.
well, not home but out and about i think.

the electric blanket on mr mac's side of the bed stopped working and i need to hit some stores to replace it.


i know pam is kicking up her heels today for it being friday.


did ocm get the heat fixed in her place yet?

Saturday night and Sunday (for our 9th anniversary, which was Wednesday )

mac - well, I'd like to think it could be permanent...still searchin for that perfect part time job. doesn't help when DH looks @ meager paycheck I garner & state, I could just work a day OT & make more than that...so, we agree, he works the extra lol.

2 trips - woo-hoo! Xmas time is mighty nice IMO, didn't care for the summer though - too crowded. If youngest wasn't in school I'd pick May.

We luv our heated mattress pads (don't care for the heavy electric blanket), have you tried them, you'll like them.

Bob - sounds like a great weekend. We've skipped the circus last year or so, cannot stand that new ringmaster/clown...the one with the big spiked blonde hair. Wish they'd go back to the "old school" version. We really enjoyed interacting w/performers before the show...cool to get that perspective...enjoy.

Bob--our 11th ann. is this (28th) weekend! We aren't doing anything to much. My parents are keeping the kids and we are going out. Your weeked sounds great! Hope you have a good time!

ks--that is hard work in itself carting everyone around and taking care of everything...i think it would be very hard to juggle everything with a job!

mic-- just cut the hair off...then it would work fine!

tony--i hope you have a good time with your friends this weekend!

mac--i vote for not working too! two trips would be very nice!! we are still up in the air about one trip this summer

I am with ks...i have a heated matress pad and LOVE it...dave doesn't turn his on but i love to be toasty warm so i keep mine on...infact...it is on while i am typing...no more getting into cold sheet...my sheet are always warm!!!

Happy Belated Anniversary Bob! 9 years is almost 10, which is almost 32...LOL...the number of years I've put in.. Your weekend sounds wonderful and I hope it is fun, relaxing and all that goes with it.

KS, I know what you mean about part-time...my husband always said I went thru more aggravation than what I got paid, but you know, for about 6 yrs. I got into WDW for free, both of US...so to me it was worth it I really would like something part-time now, but I'm going to wait til after the new year to start scoping the ads. I need to sit still here for a bit, get caught up and enjoy my time off I've accrued.

Not much else happening here, hasn't started to rain yet, but they say it's a comin'

Ya know, those heated mattress covers sound like a plan....I have a "throw" that is electric that I bought at Costco last year, that thing sure can get good and warm...I use it while I'm watching TV or whatever and it's nice, but the warm pad thing sounds good...hmm...think I'll go look at Overstock or Kohls and check out some prices. Thanks for the tip

It was on the dogpoo watch thread, It seems that this womans neighbors are ignoring a bag of dog poo (now two) that someone has left by there front door. My guess is that these peoples Dog is leaving gifts on the lawn of another neighbor and they are frustrated and giving the poo back.

My quote is in reference to Everyone loves Raymond episode where the couple keeps ignoring a suitcase full of cheese thinking its the other persons job to move it, funny episode if you've never seen it.
