I have to tell you a funny story:

I had a phone call today for daycare and she says "Is Pat there?"
ME: "Um...there is no Pat here!"
Her: Is this a daycare?
Me: Yes it is.
Her: Do you have any openings for a 3 month old? My boyfriend was watching her but he is in jail now. He tried to strangle me and start my house on fire.
Me: oh no, I'm sorry I don't. I have a baby coming soon and don't have room for anymore.


I thought it was funny because if you were looking for daycare would you ever tell anyone that your boyfriend is NOW in jail?



Aubrey is grumpy today..i can't seem to do anything right for her today. Hope it passes or i may have to go make an excuse to get out of the house tonight.

KS--how exciting the wedding is coming up!!! Hope you take lots and lots of pics.

bob--now what is your babysitter going to do? are you going to lose her as a babysitter? is it time to be a sahd?

bob--now what is your babysitter going to do? are you going to lose her as a babysitter? is it time to be a sahd?

She's moving to Atlanta. She got a job in the Atlanta office of Nicole's firm in their forensic accounting practice (fraud, etc.)

We still have her younger brother -- that's who's babysitting for us a couple days a week now.

Hi Pat, my husband tried to throw me down the cellar stairs tonight, and I called Officer Jeremy, his Mom KS answered and said she would send him to help, but she could only IM him cause he was with Mac & Momma, and their computers are down and I know yours is too, that is why I called your land line...my friend Gant had just dropped off donuts and I think that is what sent the dh on his rampage, there were none for him, then he heard me talking to my friend Ed, and he thought we might be an item, but I told him NO WAY, I only sleep in the community bed with TVT who is THE best alarm clock and then I told him I wanted a purse just like Deena's...well you can guess why I'm picking myself up off the floor...hope if he goes to jail that Bob's wife, ya know Nicole, the lawyer, will take his case anyway, I want to go along when they book him, ya know I love him anyway, he is just such a knucklehead at times, so could you babysit for me?

Pam, I bet that phone call will be one you will always remember.

If you know the secret handshake (lol) he'll allow you to follow him into the alley (i kid you not) and he has nearly every bootleg movie known to man. I'm talking "before" they hit the movie screens???

Keisha...are you trying to tell me that those Coach handbags and Rolex watches on Canal Street might be FAKE??? That's it....I'm going to call the Better Business Bureau on them!!! By the way, my next door neighbor just moved here from the Bronx and he has gotten me many a movie the day of their opening. We have watched movies in my backyard (I have a big screen and projector along with my DJ sound system) this past summer. Movies like Ice Age 2, Pirates 2 and Talladega Nights to name a few. Not the best quality but very good for me.

I may need to touch base with you to get some of those "fokleys". My regular sunglasses just disappeared from my car the other day.

UH NO!! I'm not ready. I have to pack, clean the house, get the final presents then wrap them and I'm teaching the next two days.

I have a load of laundry in that I need to get done before I go to school this morning. Basically, I need to get everything packed and done by Thrusday so that Friday I can clean the house.

had to scrape the SUVs windows this am, perhaps we will get a winter afterall? Far as I'm concerned, they can keep it.

New Simpsons season out today, youngest DSs been waiting for months, off to the big box I go. Wonder how many extra presents I'll pick up...i've been very bad this year. Think I'll hide from the mailman in Jan.

Starting to get weepy as to the thought of my baby getting married, usually not my style. Keep thinking about when I could hold him in one arm & rock him to sleep...where does the time go...cherish those moments

@ this stage of the game, he just creeps me out...what was I thinking (goes to show your taste in men does change from age 14 to 40-something). BTW, i'm wearing black velvet w/gold embroidered jacket (hopefully, slimming). Bought a gold clutch & gold shoes...decided too "hoochie". Got a pair of black flats with subtle sparkle trim. Of course I can't find my beaded clutch...off to find another today.

Did you catch the bit where he wanted us to all sit @ the same table & reception...ala one big happy family. Forgetaboutit!!!! I will slap that smile on me face & make nice w/the best of them but, that's way over the top for me.

Just found out that I'm responsible for transporting the cake on Friday from bakery to the country club WTH???

Apparently, the "toniest" bakery around charges several hundred $ extra to deliver the cake. They're already spending a ridiculous amt of $ on the cake. It's a fancy-smancy 2 tier'd cake and guests each get what they term an "individual snowball".

Join me in crossing your fingers that I hope i:

*don't drop them,

*don't get rear-ended in an fender bender on the long sojurn and

Oh My Gosh, I would be terrified at transporting the cake...you are a better woman than I...if we read in the paper of a mini van parked on the side of the road with a woman running round and round it on a sugar high, we'll know its you, you needed a taste and ended up gobbling the whole thing up it was so good It's ok to get weepy, shows what a terrific mom you are. That whole let's all sit together stuff was just a dumb idea...but consider the source right?? Your dress sounds so pretty, I bet you will be a knockout

I used to work at a bakery and would deliver wedding cakes.

Cake Boxes slide on car carpets.

The Back Seat of a car is no place for a cake use a MiniVan or SUV.

Put a Rubber Car mat down under the cake.

Try to avoid any sudden stops or sharp corners this includes on ramps to highways, they are the worst.

Screw the people behind you take the corners nice and slow pretend you are driving with an open glass of water your trying not spill.

And check with the Country Club they should have a cart you can wheel the cake in with, I got good at transfering cakes onto tables people would cringe watching me because I was so blase about it.


P.S. we never charged for delivering the cake.
