Dude, Ed, you are a font of info and have an impressive resume...that is SO neat you did that...guess it's like anything, you do it long enough and it becomes a habit. :thumbsup2

Good afternoon all! Seems i missed morning by 38 minutes :confused3 :teeth:

Ed....tell me, what haven't you done?!?!? :confused3 You are a man of many trades my friend...never a dull moment with you! :teeth:

ks--good luck!!!

mic--loved the story!!!! Um....no i won't take your kid  sounds from your story that you kinda um...kinda....get around :teeth: reminds me of the song :rotfl:

I can't wait to get my fricken laptop back!!! called yesterday and they told me that it was still in some other state :guilty: not that if it came back now that we could go and get it...with the holidays coming up we are swamped.

ocm--i am sure you will get everything done in time to leave!

mac--are you behaving yourself at the library???

bob--that is good that he brother can sit for you! :thumbsup2

gant--don't you just hate it when things disappear like that....when that happens to me i can usually blame it on one of my kids!

tony--i hope that the job thing turns out the way you want. crossing my fingers for ya!

Well, i suppose i better get back up there...i have to finish up the parents presents from the kids...i took the easy way out this year. We just made chocolate cover pretzels rods :teeth: Whatever i do with the kids go unappreciated anyway so i figure why stress myself out!

trent starts basketball practice tonight...it will be interesting to see who is all on his team. Noah has bb at the same time...different school but dave is the coach of him so i don't have to worry about him.

Have a good day all...

pam, i customed ordered my new mac with the dealer.

having it shipped from China.

what do you want to bet i get mine before you get yours??

:rolleyes1

20 more minutes at work.....yoo woo....

mac gotta mac...woohoo.........way to go my friend....you will be in cyber space again real soon...but I bet you will be working alot more ;)

Not much going on...we went to dinner on the company, just us 3 ladies, was supposed to be 4 of us, but the one girl...and this is readers digest version...has a million issues and didn't show up...yes, this is the newest member of our staff  she is painting herself into a corner

Nice to eat out, but my evening is shot.......so I'm surfing around a bit and then I'm off to watch a little TV

Pam, I know what you mean about unappreciated..I was fortunate with the littles I sat for, I WAS appreciated...but I know what you are speaking of

KS....hope you aren't blubbering this evening, no red eyes at the wedding ;) just kidding, cry all you want....its a good thing

Oh, i'm not betting!!! I know for a fact that you will probably get yours before i get mine. The comp usa headquarters called me today to follow up on my service for my laptop....boy did he get an earfull!!! :teeth:

back from taking trent to practice...i don't think their team is going to be very good this year...maybe i'm wrong but he doesn't have very many talented kids on his team. May be a long season!

BONG............BONG.............BONG..............TIME TO GET UP !!! SANTA IS WARMING UP THE SLEIGH AND CHECKING MAP QUEST TO GET HIS ROUTE!!!! YOU BOYS AND GIRLS BETTER BE READY !!! IT'S ALMOST TIME!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Morning Everyone,

Mic - I'm so glad you got the envelope, card included :lmao: I received your yesterday too, thank you.

Pam - I wouldn't take that bet with Mac either. I'm sure hers will get there first. Maybe T's team will be better than you think, you can only hope.

Mac - glad you were able to order a new computer. Those decisions are tough.

Keisha - transporting the cake would scare me too. Good luck with that. The dress sounds beautiful..don't forget to take pictures!!

Ed - I love the fact that you have done so many different types of jobs. It makes you very resourceful.

Gant - are you finished your shopping

Bob - Have the boys visited Santa Claus yet?

Deena - How is your tummy and the burns?

Tony - have you packed yet? I know you are one of those who has to pack a week in advanced.

We went and saw Santa yesterday at the mall. The kids sat and looked at the camera and all smiled very pretty. But, we weren't there for a picture. We were visiting on personal buisness. Nico and Julie had to make sure that Santa was going to bring them their presents New Years Eve instead of Christmas Eve.

He did agree, and I could see Nico's face relax into a huge grin. Then, Lee told the guy, "No picture" but it really was a good one. So I was bummed. He wont be going with us to visit Santa next year.

Today, I'm teaching Julie's class. It's the last day of school for I think all of the kids on this thread. I hope they have a wonderful holiday and fun class party!!

Morning all :) :)

Yep, the boys have seen Santa a couple times -- once, the traditional wait-in-line deal (Ryan got a little freaked out) and once during a breakfast with Santa. :)

Good Morning!

2nd wpasdi challenge in the can, waiting for results, hope we're weiners.

ed - I think it's absurd to charge for cake delivery. I can see if it's out of the general area, however I think it's just a way to stick it to the happy couple. Thanks for the cake transport tips. I called & they tell me the main cake will come unassembled (thank goodness). I've got to travel about 20 miles, think I'll hop on the expressway, figuring less sharp turns, etc. I've got a small SUV, they actually term it an SRV. Wonder if I can stack the cake boxes with the individal "snowballs". Still trying to picture what they are...1/2 an orb? Have a feeling I'll be making 2 trips. Glad you mentioned the cart. I called the club and they weren't even going to be there that am...kindly will help me lug them in to room. Guess I'm stuck plating the cookies too. Caterer wants $25 per tray to put the cookies on trays. Think I can handle that job myself.

mic - what are your holiday plans...some time off work I hope to enjoy?

mac - yeah! "mac" 's on a slow boat, from China...soon you'll back up to speed & posting prolificly. BTW, go forth & do your Xmas shopping lol.

ocm - fantastic pic...my son said "who's that hot mama"? I said your name is actually "one cool mama" and you're full of lots of "sweetlovin"
wink.gif
. They just shake their heads @ their crazy mom lol.

pam & deena - all good to go for Xmas?

bob - bet your boys are chompin @ the bit, do you do an advent calender?

tvt - as much as you travel, i'd keep a bag packed.

gant - how about a 'lil something in the java today?

Yup. We have a couple of them. :thumbsup2 A traditional "open the window" type, plus one that Cam's school gave him that suggests some action for each day, everything from "Hug your Mom and Dad" to "Say a prayer for those who are sad" (it's a Catholic school, in case you couldn't tell :teeth: )

Plus we have a countdown board on our mudroom door which we change each morning. :thumbsup2

good morning on this very cold day.....

i love hearing what is up with everyone here.

thrilled that challenge 2 has been turned in. it is like a full time job.

i was called to work tody but can't. i have to wait for fed ex to deliver something son ordered so home i sit until then.

i am working thursday and friday for sure. in our district school gets out on friday at 2:30 for the break.

i'm using todd's laptop right now and i think the hard drive is going out. when i hear the click click i cringe.....and 2 of his keys have fallen off.
his laptop is 4 years old and he hopes it will last until he graduates from college. yea, me too as he doesn't have money to get a replacement. he has a gf and she requires the extra money he is making this school break...

now that my parents are a lttle more settled that is good. the people i have the restraining order on have started calling them. i told mom to call 911 and they will be arrested. she says, she doesn't want to make them made at her and get even.......yikes, looks like back to square one with ma.

i have not started cards or christmas shopping at all. it looks like i will go shopping on saturday and sunday with everyone else out there. all the tom, dicks and harrys i will join in the croweded parking lots and long lines at the registers..... :teeth: i shouldn't gripe, i did it this way the last 2 years.....

mexican son has started the calling and emails again.........long story and not very pretty. its either the folks or the son that keeps me hopping.

i'll be back today or until my fed ex man comes
then, off to the kmart for kitty litter...

has everyone sent out their kk/ss at this point?

when do we blab about what we got?

we know what sweets received.
and you know i got 2 shoeboxes and they were very clean, no dust in them.
i have shoeboxes in my basement i have saved .....full of dust......i hang on to them just in case i need them for something.

that somethiing has not happened yet but you can never have enough shoeboxes... :rolleyes1

I'm pretty sure everyone is close to having received their ss packages...I haven't, but I've been informed "it's in the mail" and that is good enough for me...I'm ecstatic about what is coming.........YEEHAW as Gant likes to say

Mac, sorry things are still haywire for the folks, that just plain sucks

Momma, I'm sorry you missed getting the photo with Santa, sometimes those things are pricey, but if it's a "priceless" pic, it's worth taking the plunge and buying it.

KS, now real plans for the holiday....everyyear I say I don't want to do a thing come Christmas Eve, and this year I'm going to go through with it. We have family breakfast, so I need to get stuff together for that. We have dinner with my dh's sister and family, so no need to worry about that meal...we have Tuesday off, so I plan to veg. I have some DVD's I'd like to watch and catch up on, not sure if I will. And I LOVE old movies, especially Christmas movies, and TCM has a bunch listed...so we'll see...who knows, I might just sleep and catch up on all the sleep I missed this year :goodvibes I know you will be busy....I'm excited for you

Bob, my grandson's actually saw Santa twice while they were here too, they walked right up, I was surprised. And the one that was at the mall WAS the epitome of Santa, this guy looked like the real deal, with a REAL beard and I believe his belly was authentic too...LOL....he impressed ME

Deena, glad Momma asked about your tummy, hope it's healing

Man, we are getting so many goodie baskets here at work, we all will be waddling when Christmas is over. The best though was an edible fruit basket...awesome...pineapple flowers with cantalope, strawberries dipped in chocolate, grapes.........yum.......those stinkin' strawberries are delicious

Are you the last one to get theirs Mic?

I didnt send Evan to school on his last day (they had already had their party) and we saw Santa then. Very little wait. Evan only asked for a xbox 360. He isnt getting one. I just cant spend $400 on one gift for kid at Christmas but maybe for his birthday.
Anyway Santa didnt know Evan wasnt getting one--I was looking at their picture then. Santa told Evan he was out of parts for the 360 :confused3

oh my gosh, that is hilarious...Santa is covering his jolly ole tookus... :rotfl:

I think I might be the only one waiting for my ss, and if everyone else has theirs and wants to share....GO AHEAD....I'm excited to hear what everyone got!! besides the jammies :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love that we do this, it is fun! and a nice little surprise.

Crazy day here as i have some kids out of school and some kids in school. Trent's last day is today and then we are all out until jan. 4th!
