hi gant - stay dry, don't want to rust or are you 100% american made stainless steel (keep my old man working ).

i made hamburgers for the day shift and ho-made pizza pies; not to shabby if you don't count the one that got mighty browned; need some new cookie sheets. I ate 3 pieces ; pizza's low cal right?

supposed to fill in for CCD ; hope there's a bigger (lesson) plan in store for me; don't have much knowledge to share with the little hellions today.

hi guys - a weird evening for me

found out my much older cousin who moved away 20 years ago died last evening...my son read obit in the newspaper ...they left out my mom's name as a survivor too; while including the other aunties...guess we're on the "C" list with that side of the clan.

stranger still, a wide-ranging bomb threat for both our high school (i can see it from my house) and the 2 power plants and paint factory . DS was off work; but got called in shortly before news broke. Would like to think it's all a bad prank; but with this weeks events and the whole columbine date fast approaching...

feel bad for youngest son; wish kids didn't have to worry/grow up in a world with terrorism and senseless acts of violence; gotta wonder how they cope.

The police dept will be patrolling inside the school tomorrow; district has never had any sort of this problem before; so disturbing to worry about unknown threats. While i hate to be an alarmist; it's tempting to keep him home tomorrow; since (other than 5 days for vacation ) has only missed 1 day of skool....what do you think? DH sez i'm over-reacting - perhaps.

Keisha - I will tell you my story about this. One time, right after Colimbine shooting, my aunt left for England and I stayed with her high school kids. Before she left, I was joking with her and I said, "Can't I just pull them all out of school and go to the amusement park for the day." To which her answer was, "No." Well, one morning her Freshman daughter called me from her school saying there was a list of names, she was scared and wanted to come home. She said there were police everywhere and they had found the names in this kids locker with weapons (although, I have no idea what the weapons were.) I kept telling her to find her older brother and she insisted she couldn't . I called her and the other two out of the school. My aunt got back and thanked me.

My theory is, pull them out first, ask questions next. It turned out, my cousin's name (the oldest boy) was on the list. Apparently a lot of kids were being pulled out that day and nothing came of it. But always better to be safe than sorry.

ks--wow! i don't know what i would do if i were you. Trent's school was in lock down about a month ago and the school never notified the parents to tell them what happened. It was upto the kids to tell them but they didn't have ANY of the specifics

ed--it is not right that you are stuck in that other office....you need to tell htem that you want to go back to your old one so you can play with your friends.....or are you really not working but standing by the bushes with tony?!?!

bob--are you caught up from your vacation yet? we are ready for pictures!!

gant--glad you dropped by yesterday....you need to do that more often!!

by the way, dave and i went to the chinese buffet last night and i still lost .2!! The whole key for me is to eat right and not stick all the yuck stuff in my mouth...will power is my downfall!
