Good news........I bought a fridge online from Sears, free delivery, no finance charges 
Bad news.......I just paid off my new dryer, now I have another appliance to pay off.........
Put stuff from freezer into my freezer in basement, and hoping the bottom will stay cool enough til Friday when new one gets delivered...if it is not always something........
I guess it had its life, it is over 10 yrs. old......but my original fridge we got when we got married....which makes it 33 years old, is STILL running in my in-laws basement!!!! Maybe I should go resurrect it...ya know what's old is new (good grief, it is avocado green...... 
)

Good Wednesday morning......I'm tired, too much tossing and turning, who left that light on again? But with several of the gang that has been away, there has been much more room to stretch out

Mother's jonesing to spend that social security check, off to the $ store we go.
btw, never did get the CC delivery yesterday...called CS & spoke to abu who told me that a typhoon delayed it (variation on my dog ate it??). After I got done laughing, he tells me that the carrier will leave it on my doorstep sometime this week "if he feels safe"
otherwise, they'll ship it back to CC company. Unless I call them, they'll hold it for a week, then destory & reissue new cards/new account #...curiouser & curiouser.
That's what I get for requesting overnight shipment on Friday I suppose; another example of customer service going out the window due to outsourcing. When this card does finally arrive, think I'll just throw it in the safe.
pam - getting used to the new hairdo yet?
mic - tell us all about your new fridge
...I let DH pick one out last year, of course he went with all the bells & whistles (more power!)...must say I do like ice/water in door though.

Happy Hump Day 
Pam, hope the kittles are good today. I miss babysitting my 2. In fact, our little missy is coming to spend the night this weekend. She has been driving us crazy to come over, but her activities and the fact that once in a while we have a life on the weekend kept getting in the way. She and dh will have their little love fest and the mutual admiration society meet all day Saturday
KS, sorry about the cc and what a story...a typhoon huh? Hope they reimburse you the shipping for your Overnight delivery
Well, I hate shopping for appliances, I'm always too money concious about it all......just got done paying off my new dryer a couple weeks ago, had gone ahead and got what I wanted as opposed to what I should be spending, of course not figuring on the fridge going bop. I got a fairly large side x side. I can't believe some of those things are way up in the thousands of $$..I picked several and did the compare thingy, and this one seemed what we would want or need, without being totally cheap or breaking the bank. I figure it has to be better than my partially working model
I'm disappointed in my old one anyway, I bought a Maytag when I got it, figuring I'd have it forever 
and gosh, within a few years, the ice machine went bad and now this....like I said, my original going to housekeeping Whirlpool is STILL running. edited to add: I had to have the ice/water dispenser too, we have that now and I always liked that feature. Also, being an old-school hausfrau, I had to have a deli-meat drawer 
I don't even think they give egg holders anymore, so I'm holding on to my old one...LOL 
Guess I won't be able to quit my job anytime soon with another new bill created

The kids are so-so today...dave is off this week so he is trying to keep them in line for me

Joanne and I are sworn to secrecy so we wont be spilling any dirt about the trip!!
It was fun and I even did the Segway tour. Of course I thought I was going to kill myself but I didnt. YAY me!
I ate at Teppanyaki again~I think its my favorite now. No one else wanted to eat there so I just went alone. The few other girls wanted me to go to Yatchsman I didnt really want to go. Its okay but not really a must, plus I think Linda still has our pictures there so she can spit in our food when she sees us again.
Then the last night about 5 of us stayed up til 4am talking and then my roomie, Anita (Pooohbear) was up at 8. Then my flight home was delayed about 4 hours since my plane was stuck in Chicago. I slept the whole flight home!
HHN was a blast. It was crowded but we had our Express passes so we didnt have to wait the 1 to 2 hour wait for the houses. It was nice to meet to Mac and Joanne even though I didnt see either one very much on the trip.

Deena, it sounds like fun, but not the delay of flight but that stuff happens, and you can't do a thing about it but wait it out.
Oh, that is so cool you guys met, even if for a short time. Oh dear, I do remember Linda and you might be right, she probably DOES remember us and with a grudge also.. I like Teppanyaki also, in fact I love doing the Japanese grill-style eating...I just was saying the other day I wanted to go back to the local one, their food is SOO good...did you have an entertaining chef? We had one once that was a blast and so funny, but very skilled also.

pam - quality time w/DH, put those kiddos down for a nap.
my pkg came this am, watched the fed ex guy throw it onto my porch & leave...must of looked "safe" despite the ghouls in my yard. Unfortunately, (only 1 of 2 cards were in it WTH )...i give up... told the other is coming regular mail, think I'll fire off a written complaint @ this point, sick of dealing with incompetent lackeys.
