Oh, a weekend getaway sounds great! I'm assuming if it's a family trip you will try and do something that is geared to the kids...... whatever it is, I know you will have fun!

You will get great use and joy out of that new basement this winter I'm sure! Do you have a big screen TV? If so, your wife may not see you for days or weeks at a time...LOL

Yep, we're meeting up with my sister and BIL and my 19 month old nephew and we're going to go to either a waterpark nearby or a little town that has a boardwalk with all kinds of mini golf and amusement rides up and down it.

No big screen yet -- we're saving money before I go and buy all the electronics I want to get (50" TV, surround sound, etc.). Right now we just have the TV that was in our living room (the boys former playroom before we finished the basement).

Hey, it's sticky fingers Pam... Is Applejack in the spring then, around Arbor Day? cool.....around here in Va. we have Apple Blossom Parade and festival in the spring, it is centered around Apples too....also WVA has an apple butter thing in the fall..........so its apples for all!

day of computer issues all around...even in the motherland.

big code day for Oct. pkg, I was able to add a day @ CR & surprise family w/MK view for small tuppence. got a CM to hold pkg for hour 'till I mulled it over, then the system went down...still down.

I've got a ressie number & they took a manual deposit w/Dis Visa. Hope it works.

mac - it sucks when the feet are hurtin!

ocm - glad 1st day of skool was a success for your boy...was he ready to go back?

trying to bite my tongue...bumping heads w/sonny boy Jeremy, taking the wind out of my sails (boo-hoo) always happens when my DH is @ work.

have been divorced from his father for over 15 years but, I still get the worst of it when they have a fight. Really thought by now I wouldn't be "stuck in the soup".

have always tried not to bad-mouth that evil, hurtful creature in front of my sons. DH has always treated them like his own despite their outbursts, don't know how he manages to keep his cool.

Sad to see your children continually psychologically abused & they keep going back for more, turning it around on me & then defending that venomous, trouble making piece of *hit.

KS, I just saw your post... you can come and vent anytime you want/need to...that is what is so great about our group, we listen and lend that shouldar when you need it. I can't honestly say I've been in your shoes, but what you posted sure got through to me and I can feel for you. Hope things iron themselves out and the storm blows over...sometimes that is how it is between son's and mothers....heaven knows I can get agitated with my own boys! and they are grown men.

Take that bubble bath, sip a cool one and crawl under the covers. Sure hope tomorrow is better...........

i completely understand.
one of mine always blames me for his state.

I don't get the blaming part of that, but I have watched my son go through the same thing. I can give an example. Nico is deathly afraid of the shower. I mean, screams in terror from it. My DH used it as a punishment once he relized that Nico was afraid. I remember listening to Nico scream and cry to please please stop daddy please stop Im so scared.

Ok..I cant talk about it anymore..tears and all.

Anyway, I went to get professional help for him and needless to say I was being rediculous. There weren't bruises or anything..it was jsut a shower, so he never listened to anyone telling him how wrong that was.

((HUGS)) I can only hope and pray that in 15 years from now I'm not in your shoes. Hopefully, my Dh gets the help he needs and listens to it or he moves really far away where he can't hurt us emotionally.

But, I do know what it is like on both sides. To be the parent that has to deal with the aftermath and to be the child reciveing it. I'm so sorry for all of you. I hope today is better.

OOHHH..she is a sneaky one. She tucked everyone into their own beds, but her and Tony. I see how she is!!
