mic - I was given a "shortcut" to OC - can't figure it out. You take 50 East tonto Ocean Gtwy (US-50). Then turn onto Rt. 404 for 30 miles. then Market St to US 13 to Seashore Hwy for another 13 miles. Then US 223 for 25 miles. Finish up on Ocean Pines & Rt 589 & back to Rt 90 to Coastal Hwy. (huh???) Think it takes you "around" the bridge up north, crossing over the inlet, then south to OC. I'm "infamous" for my shortcuts that add several hours to our roadtrips...always looking for that next best thing.

my thought: buy and install a GPS...........

mac - good work on keeping curves up - I would have quit by now.

Sesame Place was a blast. It was fun to watch Sammie's face just light up when she saw Elmo. Sammie is an expert with characters. There was a little boy in front of her standing in line to see Ernie and Bert. He walked up really shy, hugged bert than ran away. His mom picked him up and stood there while they took the pic.

Then Sammie's turn. Well, my child runs up with open arms. Hugs each one then turns around and looks at the camera and says Cheese. Then she turned back around, kisses their noses and runs to me. Who says Disney isn't educational. My 18mo old is a pro.

That park for food, is way more expensive than Disney. Water is $3 character meal lunch was $30 for adults and $20 I think for kids. And I think kids meals were $7 and adult meals were $13 for counter service. Plus, Ages 2 and up are $45 to get into the park. So, in Oct I would have had to pay for Sammie and they don't allow infants on the Balloons (simular to dumbo) Grovers Twirl (the teacups) and basically all of the other rides. Glad I didn't wait to take her.

I think I am going home on Thursday. No one really wants me to go home yet, except DH. He did call last night, but my mom was in the car, so he was telling me all about him winning the softball game and stuff related to work. In all fairness, he did sound sad when he got off the phone, so that is a good sign.

Today, Im going out with my brother and some friends to see Pirates 2 and then down to my aunts house. I told her I would stay there one night, but she insisted I stay there two nights. She said she really wants to hang out with me. She is my favorite aunt..so I couldn't say no. I won't have any access to the computer though, so I should be back by Friday. Saturday is DH's 30th. I'm not getting him a gift, but I told him we could go out to dinner if he wanted. So, I guess we will do that. I hope I can still fit into my black or my white dress once i get home. I've eaten WAY too much food up here.

LOL! Try telling that to my family. Remember I was raised by quite a few different family memebers since I had been sent away to live with aunts, uncles and cousins. I am the prime example of a "it takes a village to raise a child" since let's face it, when you put all of my family together, we would make up a small village.

Anyway, they are all mothers and my uncle is very much like a father to me. So, going there will be good for me. They have all said if any of them knew any of what had been going on in the past they would have never let me marry him. Well, DUH..that is why I never said anything until now. But they all have different opinions and ideas about marriage and life. So, it is very good for me to listen to everyone.

Whew...glad I can finally stop and talk for a bit....I had this new report I had to work on....(the one the gal that is out normally does) and it was a struggle for me to do it and hope I was doing it without mistakes and correctly. I think I got the hang of it so when the next 3 months rolls around and I have to do it, I'll feel a little more confident. Everyone has been witching in here today, just one of those days.

Oh momma, so cool that Sesame Place was fun. Most places like that are high with food though, they seem to figure you'll pay it while in there. Sounds like Sammie had a blast with the characters..any pictures?

KS, never heard of that route you are speaking of to OC...how do you come down from Pa? Interstate 70 when you get to Maryland? If so, the way I was speaking would save you a little traffic, but you still would have to go over the bridge. Let me know, maybe I could map you out that route on mapquest from 70. I know all about those shortcuts...we did one in FLA last time that a friend recommended that lives there...all my dh did was raise cain about it the whole time...yada, yada yada, blah blah blah....well, no one twisted his arm to go that way...

Mac, you are so dedicated to Curves.....but now I know why.... J/K....I think its great you do it...I need to excercise, but I hate it...nor do I have the time

mac - IMO, those GPS thingies are for wimps real women take shortcuts and dare their mates to quibble - yarrr!

ocm - Glad Sesame place was cool, time to go home when you miss your hubbie.

mic - it's funny, I don't have to look for weird shortcuts anywhere, they come to me. Think I must whine so much about long boring drive, people volunteer info to shut me up. We do shoot on down via I70, then I97, Rt65 to US50, etcetera, etc. Figure only time we'll really run into traffic will be coming back Sat. a.m. on bay bridge.

Are we talking twin peaks?
