holey moley, its' going on 2 in teh afternoon and my day seems like its evening time right now.

i beat tony up this morning but could not get on the computor.

mr mac woke me up to take him to the ER at 4:50 this morning. its a long story but he is ill with a spreading infection from the face. it is not cellulitis like i had a year ago though.

got out of the er at 7 am and then to a 24 hour drugstore.

then the man, once we get home at 7:40, gets dressed to go to work.
he catches the 8:xx something train to the city. yikes....... he just will not sit home and miss work no matter what. he worked 3 days with a broken shoulder and collar bone until i forced him to an orthopedic surgeon 10 years ago............

then at 8:15 had to take son to pt and something happened and had to drive from there after over an hour to the surgeon office.

then to another part of a medical building for an emergency mri.


we got home 5 minutes ago.
stopped along the way and did drive thru for arby sandwiches.


i am exhausted.


so, i come today with a note from teh er doc, hospital, and mri imaging center to excuse my tardiness.


do i get three tardies and then i have to stay over for 30 minutes at the end of the day here?????


i will come back on later.
i need to check emails and make phone calls.

but, all is well now.

mic - mapquest sez 4 hr 46 min to allentown from Pittsburgh (seems too long to me), of course, they say 6 hrs 45 min. to Ocean City too. Think it's safe to shave @ least a half hour off their time. It's been over 14 years but I seem to remember it taking about 5 1/2 hours last time to OC. Just checked & they say 3 hours from Baltimore to OC - thought it was more like 2???

mac - poor mr. mac, poor you too with go-around last year. You can add that to ::cop: Jeremy's long list of past problems (who BTW is still looking for a job). He got it when he was little. Had a big cut from playing pee-wee football & it never healed right. Took him for what I thought would be a round of antibiotics & turned out to be an issue for almost a year. He still has a "divit" where it was clustered, fine now though. At our school district, if you're late 3 times in a grading period, it's deemed an absence - whether you have a dr's excuse or not - stupid IMO.

KS, I would say they are accounting from Baltimore to OC perhaps traffic...if you get stuck on the bridge. Where I am, we are about 4.5 hrs. away from OC. We start towards Baltimore, but take Rt. 32 or 27 instead of going down and hitting the beltway to 50. A little less traffic and easier route to travel. Baltimore is like 145 miles from OC. The darn Bay Bridge can be the real hanger upper...depending on when you hit it and traffic...it is a bear to be sure.

Sorry about all the sickies today at your house mac.........hope everyone is doing better. You do have a time with your family, you need to put them in a plastic bubble for safe keeping

Seems this morning Mr. Sun can't make up his mind to stay in or out....it got quite warm yesterday, the humidity was down til evening and then we had to put the a/c back on last night..I'm so ready for fall.

Up bright & early to find kittie hairballs all over the living room - eeeeew!

Taking ::cop: Jeremy to job interview for security @ power plant. No, I'm not going to hold his hand LOL. It's in the "big city" and he's never been to that section of town-sort of place where if you park the car too long, you might not have tires when you return. Figured I'll take him to breakfast afterwards @ a cool 40's steel diner in the area.

mic - I was given a "shortcut" to OC - can't figure it out. You take 50 East tonto Ocean Gtwy (US-50). Then turn onto Rt. 404 for 30 miles. then Market St to US 13 to Seashore Hwy for another 13 miles. Then US 223 for 25 miles. Finish up on Ocean Pines & Rt 589 & back to Rt 90 to Coastal Hwy. (huh???) Think it takes you "around" the bridge up north, crossing over the inlet, then south to OC. I'm "infamous" for my shortcuts that add several hours to our roadtrips...always looking for that next best thing.

mac - hope you get a good rest tonight, good work on keeping curves up - I would have quit by now.

muffy - I haven't been to NY in over 20 years. We were there on business, didn't see anything but the outside of Madison Square Garden (didn't look square to me ) and the East River. One of my friends married well & moved to Montauk or as she states...a block from the beach & in the town next to Billy Joel. Well, excuse me........princess forgets she came from a rusty old steel town.

Keisha - Someone once said the fastest way to get anywhere is to let me drive. I take off about 10 minutes per hour. The only time I can never do that is DC because of traffic. Someone just told me another route to take using rt 66 and going down the mountains of TN. I'll have to try that sometime. It takes me 3 hours to get from OC Maryland to DC and from Philly it took me an hour to get from there to OC NJ. Not too bad I don't think.

Muffy - I need to get my butt up to NY. My brother just passed his FBI test and he is in NY right now. It's $40 to take the bus up there roundtrip rom DC. My mom said it was totally safe, but I wasn't as sure. So, i never went. Maybe I'll be braver in the fall and take the bus by myself.

Gigantor - I hope you are having a great time away right now. We do miss you and hope you are relaxing on your vacation.

I have met a lot of people on the thread. I hope to meet Muffy and Mac in Sept, but other than that, Pam, Bob, Jules and Keisha are the only others I haven't met. I will get to meet them soon, hopefully.I agree with you Mic. The people on thius thread that I haven gotten to know are the ones that are very important to me in meeting. I'm not that into a big meet.
