Thanks guys This will be sort of a wierd wake -- he's been ill for so many years (essentially a vegetable probably for 5 or 6 years), so in a way, I think many people are glad that his pain and suffering is over at this point.

Mic...not so much the seniors storming because of the gambling....but because the senior prescription program is a state run deal and they are not issuing any free Rx's for the elderly. They are also cancelling a state run camp for the blind. It's truly pathetic.

Nope, same thing as yesterday. The governor (democrat) wants to raise the sales tax by a penny to 7%. The speaker of the house (also a democrat) doesn't disagree with the 1 cent hike but wants to see 1/2 of the money go towards property tax relief. The governor doesn't want that. It's pretty much a peeing match where nobody wins.

The state takes an 8% cut from the casinos. That equals about 1.3 million a day. Where do they think they are going to recoup that cash. I feel sorry for the casino and "real" state workers.

The close tag thing doesn't have anything to do with tags in the tag fairy sense. It has to do with the HTML tags, like when you quote a person, add color to your posts or post a picture.
