jules, i like the movies where people die in them. disney is too tame for me.

digging out from piles of laundry to stop by, thanks for the welcome...

Ed's sailin away for a year & a day

Bob's boy has a million $ smile, watch out ladies.

Wonder if Warren Buffet is looking for a "non trophy" wife (or did I read that he's gay?) or adopted daughter?

Exactly what/whom does Bill Gates foundation target (broke disney vacationers?) I've heard of it but, not sure who is the benefit of his largess.

mac - What's up with the 7 inches of hair loss? That's a big change, you're brave. How short is your hair now? I tried to send a postcard from MSpace (failed for the 2nd time). I need to figure out how to run a computer. I don't even know how to upload my pics. Always have to wait for DH or, even worse, one of my kids, to assist me.

I became obsolete when IBM mag cards went out of vogue. I like scary movies too but, with a weird sort of twist ala the Evil Dead series. My 2 oldest sons are big fans of the Chainsaw Massacre ilk - IMO, they're gross & give me a :tilt:

Officer Jeremy ::cop: (you're right mic - I luv this simile ps how's the toothies) is hanging in there. Some major disaster (real or imagined) always occurs when I'm on vacation. Usually my mom is the culprit. One time she was convinced my dog had rabies. Typically, the call occurs during the "best" moment of the trip. We take bets on who/when will have the 1st meltdown. They actually were on good behavior until the last 3 days. As for my boy, I'm still not sure if he has a black cloud hanging over his head or his guardian angel is on overtime. His kind & understanding employer (KFC) scheduled him for 57 hours this week...and this was after he told them he wasn't feeling up to speed. Hope he finds a real job soon.

DH drug me outside of the parks one day to watch a rocket launch & swim @ the :beach: , surprisingly the highlight of the trip (besides me almost losing my bathing suit top on the clown slide @ BW then again @ TL-told you I'm not educatable). DH thinks he captured those special moments on the disposable waterproof camera...those pic will never see the light of day.

Hi ya to everyone else I missed, bring me up to speed.

STILL NO INTERNET AT WORK TODAY.......... :furious: and talk about a guy that had a meltdown...our IT guy was at the office at 7 a.m. and at 5 p.m. when I left, Verizon had YET to get a tech out............hmmmmmm....that phone conversation was getting ripe, and the Verizon guy hung up on our IT guy... Hope it is up tomorrow.

Well, that little graduate is the cutey to beat all! Bob, what an adorable photo and the new family pic is awesome...what a great family.

Mac, glad you got ole long-neck.....totally forgot I sent it til you mentioned it... :lmao: but glad you enjoyed it. Stitches out tomorrow...they are annoying me now, so it's time for them to go bye-bye.

Today was not a good start to the work week, it was more like a Friday than a Monday, with bizarre stuff going on.......

Rained again today and bad storms all around us.

KS, WELCOME home fellow tester! Sounds like you had a good time, barring the bad flight (that happens to everyone sooner or later) and hearing that our young officer ::cop: was ill...ouch, hope he is doing OK. We missed you and the week probably zoomed by much faster for you than us ;) Only 104 more days huh...start the countdown.

Momma, what were you up with Gonchar for? My little guy was up at 5 a.m. to go out  and it was pouring rain, he got soaked and then wanted back up on the bed.....blech

MuffyJo, only 2 weeks til MIA is supposedly returning. And a lot of her tasks are being given to me and the other gal, cause it will be "too much" for Miss MIA when she returns, she won't cope with an overload..........horse hockey :sad2:

Adam, cool breakfast...........I grabbed the Danish......yum

I DID see Ed on the cruise ship, he was waving

Pam, did you enjoy the CWS game? Did Dave have a happy birthday?

Jules, I like to veg on Disney flicks from time to time...I have a bunch of DVD's I've bought and never get to watch them. I just bought the original Gidget show with Sally Field that was on TV in the 60's. I loved that show. Haven't cracked the case yet. I do know how to use my DVD player, :thumbsup2 just never seem to have the time to sit still and watch DVD's or something is on TV I want to see or I've taped something I need to watch.

Deena, did you get a nap in today? I bet you are wore out from the kids being there, but it is a fun wearing out at least and you enjoyed having them. I know you will miss your son :grouphug:

what's up with the MIA chick any way? I missed this, you were already talking about it when I came back (from la la land). Do you know why she left? Or did they never tell you and then just say she'd be coming back eventually?

I remember when we used to talk about Gidget, I like the shows, but the 1st movie is my fav. Glad you know how to use your DVD player :teeth:. My parents know how to press play/pause/ff/rew and that's about it. I'm sort of the official vcr programer, universal remote programer, and even occasional dvd player/vcr repair woman of the house  (no idea how they'll ever find the menu on a dvd if I leave :p ).

Evening Jules.....quick rundown on MIA co-worker...she is considered an ad-min assistant...does all kinds of tasks in the office. She has multiple family/husband/kids issues, plus weighs in at a whopping 80 lbs or so, all 5'1" of her...well, she has not been to work since around May the 5th. Usually, the office manager is quite forthright with what is going on with people, but all she will say about this gal is that she is out "dealing with health/family" issues. Anyhoot, we've had a little running session here about her being absent from work so much, and the fact that I'm assuming a lot of her little tasks and so is the new gal who is the staff accountant...like SHE should be doing some of this gal's jobs. She and I both say we will believe it when we see it if she comes back on the 10th. I don't look for any of the guys to cut her any slack and NOT inquire as to why she has been out of work for 2 months. I'm very sympathetic to illnesses, but this is just plain weird. She was chronically late every day, by 10 to 15 minutes and would miss time periodically just since I started in January. I'm beginning to think I've worked more days straight than she has :p

Yep, we talked Gidget before. I also got the DVD that has the original Gidget, Gidget Goes Hawaiian and Gidget Goes to Rome on it...another one never even cracked open~~but won't I have fun having a Gidget DVD party one night  Jules, we need to get together and have a dvd party :drinking1 popcorn::

another funny thing......my MIL will call me and say "I don't know what I pushed on my remote, but the TV is on this weird screen"....or "I don't know what I've pushed now, but there is no sound"....."can you tell me how to fix it"........must be that some of us have the remote genius and some of us don't :lmao:

I wish! I took Michael and his friend Scott to go look at some apartments at the college.
They have decided to go with a 1 bdrm as opposed to a 2 bdrm which could leave them with 1 or 2 other roommates. its cheaper to have 2 to a bdrm but they dont really want to be stuck with ppl they dont know. I think the 1 bdrm will be perfect for them.

That is pretty awesome on the apt. hunting. I don't blame them with the 1 bedroom. Try it anyway and maybe later change if they feel like more "company". Exciting time for your son!! Going to be a college campus dude!! :thumbsup2

I SO could have taken a nap when it started raining today. :umbrella:

:rotfl2:
My aunt actually called once (and this is an aunt who we only see maybe twice a year), to ask my dad to come over just to set the timer on her vcr. He had to tell her he didn't know how :rotfl: . My parents have wanted to throw a few vcrs and dvd players away, told me I couldn't fix them (oh ye of little faith :p ). I almost always manage to get them working again. No idea how, I just open them up and see what's not working and make it work again. It's one of the few talents I have :p .

I need to go out and watch fireworks now.....seems the boys are getting the itch already....have a good night everyone!
