So before you sneak off to medicated land.. ;) tell us all about this Muffy Jo and her ability to :stir:

last time she did that about 8 posters on the dis ladies trip, had to stand up for her and tell them all off. and, the thread was closed then.

oh, and all this talk of slathering on eye cream, I just slathered some on my puffy, raccoon around the eyes area and got some IN my damn eye and it stings like jell...so much for beautiful eyes, I'll probably be blind in the morning... :lmao:

Mac, post away if you like, we need a good bedtime story...... :lmao: :rotfl:

Seriously, glad you are feeling a little better and feel like posting, that is a good sign

as much as you like the reds, it had to be that you really care about me to post the pic of my dudes in st louis.

thank you.....i am impressed.

got a call from my surgeon, i have to have 2 more tests done before i see him on wednesday.
it's all ways something isn't it.

mr mac finally went out to walgreens for more meds for me.
doc said i have to use/suck on lemon or citrus orange sugar free drops for the next week in order to make the salivia gland start working.

and, the best part, i can eat scrambeled eggs for dinner tomorrow night
it would be any better if i likes that crap, but if i am hungry enough, i guess i will eat that.

i don't have mic or jojo work number so i couldn't call them today.

i gave a call to pam. she wasn't home so i left her a message on the machine.

so pam, when you hear it, it wasn't a crank call. i just don't sound like myself today.
did reach ocm and she understood everything.

i think it was because she has young kids and she understands them.
and she has an accent.

hope you all have a goreat day thursday.

i'll see you then.
if i can't sleep, i will come back here and stare at the pic of the cards.

evening all!

mac--just got your message...after playing it 3 times I figured it out! Then I understood everything you said...i hate answering machines anyway.... I am glad you are feeling a little better...hope everything turns out okay for you!

Trent called tonight too i think, but we missed that call too :guilty: I was really looking forward to talking to him...it has been 3 whole days since i have talked to my baby!!!

Went to aubreys game then ran over and caught the last inning in noah's game.

My mom was so nice to come up before aubrey's game and stain the boards for me....i think my mom loves me  :teeth:

KS--i would go too since they changed the schedule on ya.....heck....i would go anyway...even if they didn't change the schedule!!! :teeth: taking a vacation is totally different than not finishing a commentment!!!

Well, I am looking at a basket of laundry that needs to be folded before I can go to bed and it looks like it is NOT going to help me out and fold itself!

Have a good night everyone!

pam- did you're kids hear mac's messages?

left you a message"

mic- mac is talking about a thread from last week.
a mother described everthing she was going to do with her kids this summer.

Good morning all........

Glad mac is up and at 'em and feeling better! Good news...can't keep a good gal down :cool1: Glad the balloons and boys in red made you cheer up :Pinkbounc

I am now the one with a whine, I have a tooth that I think is going bad, I've had a headache for 2 days, and I finally connected the 2 last evening...of course no dental insurance til 7/1 :sad2: so I'm trying to live with it, but not sure if I can...I'm holding out calling the dentist, but then I don't want to be this weekend with problems..........yikes, I've taken enough Excedrin and Motrin to own the company...I'm afraid I'll implode if I take much more..maybe tying one on will make me forget it hurts...nope, that would lead to another type of headache ;)

Momma, is your aunt there yet? Having fun? Enjoy your time with her

Muffy Jo, yesterday the owner must have said something to the office manager about where the MIA co-worker is and what is going on.....I heard thru the grapevine that office man. called her last evening......no word on that conversation. A lot of her little jobs have been gravitating to me, pretty soon I'll have all her stuff from her desk in or at mine. I personally think the office manager has been trying to be a good person and "covering" for MIA, and the owner is just now realizing she hasn't been here for 6 WEEKS...and wth is going on. Such drama huh? :p

Pam, it is good you work with kids also, so you could interpret mac's message :teeth:

mic- sorry to hear about your tooth. i hope it gets better.
we have very little dental insurance. i know what you mean when something big like that happens!

the office manager is going to get herself in big trouble covering for the
co-worker. Are they friends?
You can't cover someone for 6 weeks and expect no one to notice!
You should have an interesting day :teeth:

I'd post a pretty get well pic for mac but, I'm stupid & don't know how (see what happens when you leave the workforce for awhile, you become obsolete); anyway I'll just mention a few random phrases to cheer her up, not the same as a visual but, sometimes fantasizing is better than the real thing:

School's Out, Universal, Hard Rock Hotel or Royal Pacific/Portofino, Halloween Horror Nights, free dining, etc. etc.

mic - toothaches are like krypton to me, world's biggest baby on any sort of tooth pain. Hope yours clears up, really a pain when they act up on the weekend...ouch. Don't even want to think about not having dental insurance, especially after putting on 3 sets of braces. Ortho's billing office marvels @ the coverage we have...IMO it still was expensive paying 40%. Don't know how people can afford it w/o. Cannot believe that your company's owner just noticed that co-worker has been missing so long...talk about being a "hands-off" boss.:lmao: Sounds like the office manager didn't do anyone a favor by initiating a cover up - remember watergate? Do you know if they're still paying her a salary?

pam - thanks for the encouragement...we sort of got the cold shoulder @ the last game but, do they remember who sold the most gun raffle tix (and we don't even hunt)...ha!

muffy - gasp! a pot-stirrer in our midst? BTW, there's times I yearn to return to work, then I regain my senses. Will say that when family & friends find out that you don't "work" ; you immediately are number one on their list to do errands, wait for deliveries, installations, watch sick kids, have steady carpool, etc. I went back into the labor pool a few years ago when my dear MIL passed (she had no insurance & I had to put her funeral on my credit card...@ least I got reward miles out of it). Took a while to pay that monster off, sure got me mileage w/DH :thumbsup2

How obnoxious is that. I don't work and yes, I can do more activities becuase I don't. So how in the heck is that offensive?? :confused3 It's true.

Just don't tell my DH..he might start thinking I have time to clean too!! :lmao:

MJ, I guess maybe "covering" wasn't the right term to use, the office manager has been privy to this gal's personal problems, and trying to let her sort them out whatever they might be...and keeps telling us "next week, when she comes back"...well week 6 here and no sign of her return, and now all her little jobs are being doled out because they have had to have someone catch up with filing etc. We are under 25 employees, so it is a little more "personal" handling situations with all of us, trying to be fair...but I think this has pushed the limits. But what do I know, I'm pretty low on the totem pole ;) I just know that if it was me, I would feel bad that my work is falling on others in my absence (and I don't mean someone being out because they are physically ill or dealing with illness in the family) and that I was out for so long. Again, I'm not in charge so ..........

Yeah, of course my tooth starts up right in between us losing dental insurance and me getting it again...........story of my life....not the amounts per mac is dealing with, but for sure right now I don't need a big dental bill. :sad2:

I sincerely doubt she is drawing a salary. Our leave here is based on time worked per calendar year, and its not divided like sick leave and vacation leave, its just PTO for whatever. I guess she has been here for maybe a year and 1/2.

I'm still guessing that everyone was figuring whatever "problems" she is having would sort themselves out and she'd be back, but obviously NOT.. ;) I'm not unfeeling either, I feel for her, but she needs to make a decision that she can or cannot work. People are always asking me where she is, and I have to tell them I really don't know what is up.

Guess we should rename our group to "As the Pot Stirs"....... :rotfl:

Pam, free time today? Malarie helping out?
