Mac good luck.

Mic the was a great game too bad we couldnt hold on.

MC Ask my wife although I give honest opinons you have to put up with alot of sighing.

OCM my shopping with you would be just making sure all the pieces are covered.

TVT are you going to try to get 18 in today?

Hi Jules.

Hi Deena.

Hi KS.

I haven't touched a club in over a month Ed....Seems like everytime I turn around there are out of towners here to hang out with...Golf can wait... :cool1:

Those "out of towners" are a pain aren't they?? ;) :lmao: but a good pain.............

I've been thinking about mac and hoping all is well :grouphug:

Hi all - busy am car off for inspection (can't imagine what mechanic will hit me with this time
rolleyes.gif
), got youngest DS off to Kennywood - home of the Thunderbolt (one of the country's greatest wooden coasters:cool1: ).

Hope mac is faring well.:wizard:

They'll be playing ball in mudville this weekend but, we'll be leaving on a jet plane Saturday whopppeee! Hope they don't mess up playoff shot while we're gone. Coaches wife & I discussed my non-commitment to the team via not postponing our trip that's been planned for over a year. I was in full agreement. Guilty as charged - IMO vacation does take priority over little league sports. Aside from the fact that the season typically has gone into mid-July & the fact that I've been running to my various DS's baseball, football, basketball & soccer games for over 20 years, perhaps I've gotten soft.

Thanks for asking, I do have a half-way decent tan. Usually, great by this point in the year but, I got suckered in joing Hollywood Tans & commited for 3 months (run away, far away). Weather has been crappy in our area, only got out on the raft in pool 3 times this season...hope I don't fry in FL. Dematologist I see prefers that if I insist on tanning, that I do it in a controlled enviornment (tanning salon) and use sunblock outside. Such a weird world we live in? Anyone else invite wrinkles beside me?
Hope mic's hairdresser listened this time...mine usually does, then cuts away...always shorter than I ask for.

Gotta luv guys that have an interest in "products".:thumbsup2

The mosquitos are so bad here I may need you guys to send some blood. We have been sucked dry. Poor Connor they really go after him. Last night going to be he had about 4 bites around his neck and we didnt even go out side yesterday!! Those are some that slipped in the the door opened. This am I rubbed the poor kid down with an OFF towlett hoping if any get in they wont bite him.
Pam my next trip is end of Sept. There is a large group of ladies from the dis going and Im going too. David has vacation around then so the boys will be with him.
Our next family trip is in Oct. We are doing the DVC member cruise and spending a few days onsite.

deena - I'm biased but, have you tried regular scent SSS bath oil on your son? I even put it on my dogs when the bugs get bad. Ooooh lucky, member cruise - currently I'm far too short on points, we did luv our 3 day to Nassau last Dec., I want to live on Castaway Cay; got an upgrade to Cat. 9 too.:sunny:

We wanted to book a 7 night western w/them for next year but, Carnival made us an offer we couldn't refuse (less than 1/2 price of DCL & a balcony). Hope we're not sorry. Do think they go to cooler places though.

KS---we were okay on points til we booked the cruise, lol. We had to get 2 cabins so one is on cash and one is on points. We got 2 Cat 9's adjoining rooms. The little ones will probably end up sleeping with us since they do anyway and I didnt want poor Matthew off in a room across the hall all alone. This is our first cruise so if we do like it we will probably do some Carnival. they have some that leave from Galveston which is just a short drive for us.

Okay what is SSS oil?

Squash the buzzard Deena......

People around here swear by the Avon's (here's a plug for our sales lady)Skin So Soft for repelling the little buggers. I hate mosquitoes and they love me!! Yick....

Are you excited about the cruise Deena? You've not been before have you? You are gonna love it. Where/which one are you doing.

Ks, not to be offensive, just how we did sports with our son, we never took trips during the summer when ball was "in season". I guess our biggest thing was making him have commitment to what he started. But I understand where you are coming from (heck planning a trip a year in advance) and understand your viewpoint. and your humble opinion is as welcome as mine is.. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 that is what makes the world go round. After 20 yrs, I'm sure your "tune" can change :goodvibes Where is Kennywood? Sounds fun. My tan has taken a no-show attitude. I used to tan all the time, but with working now, I just don't feel like taking the time to go do it. I miss it, and may try to start up again. No matter whether you tan inside or outside, there are opinions on that too.. :p

Ed is always good at what he does

home from hosp.

severe pain

going to bed

did not die

good thing for that,
no one here knows where food is kept.

will type later tngith.
too dugged now going to bed

mac--hope you feel better!!! :grouphug:

ed--thanks for the hair advice.....what's next????

ocm--hope you have fun with your aunt!!!

deena--i hate those blood suckers...you can keep them! they are huge this year!!

muffy--you will get good at knowing who says what around here....just takes time! YOu will get a hang of it!

Ks-- i don't blame you for going on vacation....next year we are going to try to plan to be in disney the end of june and if the kids have ballgames then that is just to bad....they will just have to miss. I am for the most part the parent that makes their kids stick to something they start but am kinda a softie when it comes to vacation time....that and i swore i would NEVER go to disney in July EVER again!!!

mic--i am thinking about doing the salon thing again just so i don't get fried when we go to texas next month...i usually do it just for a month to get me dark enough so i won't burn. I do miss tanning though...it is 20 minutes of nothing but my thoughts......hmmm...putting it that way it is kinda scary!!! :teeth:

aubrey has a game at 4:55 today and noah has one at 5pm....nothing like them playing at the same time huh? :confused3 I guess i will go to aubreys and dave will go to noah's and then when aubreys is done we will finish with noah's.
Then i have to come home and stain my boards....i had to go and get more last night because the deck dudes called and said they didn't have enough and since i got everything they needed then i had to go and get them. They called and the electrician is coming friday and so are they so they can finish up....so this weekend if i have time i will have to take some shots of it and post it.

hey friends, just woke up 15 minutes ago and in pain.

i see a letter mr mac wrote to me

dear sweets,
you were asleep and i was bored,
went for a long bike ride
wil be home at 7

pills on counter.

well, i got up no room service here i found out and found my pill.
and the note.
he is not the best nurse in the world, he goes back to work tomorrow and that is a very good thing.

my speech is affected but i will find out more on my follow up visit next wed.
i am dazed and confused and hopefully. glad the first surgery is done.

he could not get the stones in the duct.
he took out 4 large stones in the gland and was able to do all the cutting on the inside of the body. i think the biopsies will be back within the week.

who wants me to call them and talk funny. it might be worth a good laugh .lol

mac's back - hooray:cool1: , better living thru chemistry...pop them pills. Hope you feel better soon.

mic & pam - I always insist that DS's finish whatever activity they have chosen, whether it's sports or cub scouts, etc. (I do agree w/fulfilling commitments). I just got steamed that they fiddled w/the schedule they've had for the last 20 years & I'm the "bad guy" because I'm not cancelling our trip. Even if DH could shuffle vac. time @ work, know I'd never get the resort I want using DVC points a few months out in June.

Anyway, DS sez he's ready for vacation. The team has 4 or 5 "extra players" that will enjoy the playing time. He participates different sports but, it's not the end-all to him or us. I get creeped out by the parents who are already banking on free rides to college (better get a jar & start saving that change, akin to winning the lottery!). Sports are big in our family, oldest DS is a head high school football coach & officer Jeremy one of his assistants. They are not participating in the next 2 vacations due to that commitment (I hear the party is @ my house this weekend, bring your own cup) but, for me, DH & the youngest, family time with the Mouse comes first.LOL:cool1:I will now hop off my soapbox:)

The mosquito looks hungry...better buy that SSS ASAP. They sell a repellent too, but it's an aerosol can. Also, have individual wipes that are handly to keep in the car. The little monsters absolutely devour me. Dr. told me they like "sweaty" people better - thanks alot doc.

deena - what a great time you'll have, it's a 4 day? You'll come home w/bags of loot. The food & entertainment was soooo good.

Has anyone seen a rocket (not a shuttle launch) from Kennedy space ctr. Think we'll skip a day @ parks & try to catch it next week.

   when the 'nanners are gone, so am I.

mac-glad to hear from you. hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

Glad you didn't die, Rave. Sorry you're in pain. Get well soon :grouphug:

xoxoxoxoxo

Poor mac, hope the pain goes away, take lots of meds and sleep it off... :grouphug: Let's hope for good results and that you are soon fit as a fiddle. Mr. mac needs to take better care of you and treat you like a princess: Thinking of you and hoping you feel better soon.

Oh KS, one thing I didn't realize (read too fast I guess) was they changed the schedule on you...now I agree, that was not NICE :sad2: OH, did I hear you type the word PARTY :cool1: and all I need is my own mug??? OK, I'll be there, what time do the festivities start? And how does Officer Jeremy feel after a few days of being "an official officer"...? I think that is awesome what he is doing. A lot of the not doing vacations during ball was also my son not wanting to miss anything, he was big into his baseball. No scholarships for us though, just loved the game. A lot of the kids who were the "chosen" ones on our high school team, and got scholarships, squandered them away, so what a waste :sad2: One boy even got kicked out of college for poor grades and partying. So much for being appreciative of getting help to further his education.

Oh Pam, I would never go to Disney in July, I just can't take the heat with the crowds...but June can be just as hot.......hopefully when you next go, you will hit a cool down stage and not a meltdown.. ;)

Yep KS, Avon SSS works well, I would recommend it. It is age old, and I see they now have wipes etc....way to work that product :p

Mom ~ lucky you with the 5 minute hair (not that I spend anytime on mine  ). I was seriously considering cutting all of my hair off for about a week there. Until I started thinking about how it would look when it grew out, and I decided I didn't want a 'fro ;)

Pam ~ the eye is back to normal. Thanks for asking. I'm pretty sure I did have a scratched cornea on top of pink eye, because it burned every time I put the drops in (and not in a pink eye way). All better now though. No more glasses: Woohoo!

TVT ~ no I don't believe ocm "needs" anti-wrinkle cream. But I don't blame her for using it. I use it too. It's all about prevention ::yes::

Hi ed.

Deena ~ mosquitos are no fun at all. But, on the bright side, just be glad those bloodsuckers didn't come in the tick variety. Yuck ~ those are worse.

Rave ~ of course they don't know where the food is! they're all male, right? My mom had surgery a few weeks ago, and if I hadn't been here I think my dad might have starved to death. Sorry DH isn't being a very good nurse. If I thought I could make it there and back in time for work in the morning, I'd come take care of you ::yes::.

Hi Mom

hi friends.

before i take another antibiotic and v pill thought i would come here and say hey to all

around 6, i posted a detail thing of my today's event at the surgery.
if you want to read it, let me know and i will move it over here.

i just didn't think yu would be interested in all the hooey about it.
everyone has something that is a problem and i really don't like to whine about mine any more than i usually do.......

i am getting like muffyjo, i am forgetting what i read. either that or its the pills.

sounds like everyone is doing swell except that someone ran out of eye cream. better get some real quick.

i am going to wander around the universal thread and cause some grief over there.

just a heads up, muffy cat likes to go to the cb threads and :stir: things up.

last time she did that about 8 posters on the dis ladies trip, had to stand up for her and tell them all off. and, the thread was closed then.

so whenever muffyjo says she is bored, have her call you so she will stay out of trouble.

:rolleyes1

i'll be back before i go to bed
