I think NY or Long Island is a different accent than Boston.......just my opinion though

FIXIN is not a word. If you are fixing something to eat, that is different, but FIXIN..no such thing.

And how often do you talk to Ed on the phone? I understand him on the phone too, but he had no trouble understanding me too. And you know, part of that was your crappy phone.

That's true, mac and Pam don't have an accent. They speak just like every other midwesterner out there. So, as long as you are from the Midwest, they doesn't have an accent.
