Morning all

Might be a short day today -- I think I'll be taking DS2 to the doctor's today. He's been coughing bad enough to make himself throw up the last couple days.

Hang in ther Bob. I've walked in those shoes before and it was not a pleasant walk. It always hurts me to see the little ones sick. Here's hoping he gets better real soon.

2 new neighbors moved in over the past few months so it must be one of theirs, because the rest of my neighbors are older and don't think they would have a wireless connection let alone a connection at all!
I am going to have to call my cable company today because i can't get it to work....maybe our two connections are getting mixed up...is that possible? i really don't know much about this stuff...ususally if it works that is all i need to know!

Sorry Bob the little guy is sick, my grandson has had it too with croup....and that is in AZ....with that wonderful warm, dry winter air. One of the gals here as a little guy about 17 months and he has been so sick forever, so she took him back to ped. yesterday, and today he is off to see an ENT doctor because his ears will not clear up...poor little fella, he has been through it all...she said he is just miserable..boy, been there, done that and I know your heart breaks when your kids are hurting...

Pam, the Nebraska connection for stealing internet Sounds like dinner out was fun, our evening consisted of the usual, get home, eat, get ready for bed, internet for a few, watch TV and fall asleep.........boring old people that we are..........this weekend is busy though, birthday party for the little girl I used to babysit and birthday dinner on Sunday for my son...so those 2 days will zip by....but then it's getting us closer to April 21st! which by the way is my dh's birthday....so it is special on 2 accounts!!

bob--sorry to hear about your son! hope he gets better soon...sounds like some type of croup to me...i am sure that kind of stuff is going around his school/daycare as it is here...yuck!!!

I don't know if it's similar to croup, but RSV apparently has been going around Ryan's class.

how old is he? i think rsv only effects upto age 2! I know he is under 2 though...so it may be...if you look at his ribcage and upto to where you would do cpr on him...if it is going up and down really fast and he has a hard time breathing... kinda wheezing...that is one of the ways to tell about rsv....aubrey had that when she was 5 months old and that is what the dr. told me...

He's 9 months old. We've been watching his chest looking for that heaving (it hasn't been happening) -- Cameron had problems like that around his 2nd birthday which he was hospitalized for. To this day, Cam still takes Singulair daily for asthma (or asthma-like symptoms, he's never officially been diagnosed with asthma).

that would be the only way you could hook onto a neighbors, but you would have to be pretty close by to do so.



if you have dsl/dial up and no card, then you are not connected to a neighbors internet

Pam, I think mac is right, unless you have wireless, you wouldn't be on the receiving end of free internet.......but I could be wrong...

Croup is going around here too with kids....my boys always suffered with it every winter....we would wrap them in a blanket and take them out into the night air...it really helped and also, steam up the bathroom and let them breathe in the moist air.......croup is always worse in the evening and morning, then kinda wains during the day to act up again at bedtime....it is a lot more scary sounding than anything......again, hope little Bob is feeling better

yes, i do have wireless....that is why i was thinking i was getting my neighbors wireless connection...

just to let you all know....i sit on the couch and talk to you all! no wires needed!!!!! now....to figure out this dang thing...i am thinking my internet is working now, but not sure how i tell!

I'm really going to have to call my internet company!!!! It said there was no activity again...so i unplugged it and what do you know...i'm online again! I am using their connection again....i guess i am wandering now if there is a chance that our signals are crossing and that is why my internet isn't working right!

Pam, I know how annoying that can be...just like that weekend aol was all messed up on my computer, saying no connection, but my son downstairs was on HIS computer........duh......it was so frustrating and then talking to India didn't help much

WOW...I just found out we have a gym room in this place....with a treadmill, bike, weights, lifting stuff........soon to have cable TV.... even a shower and he is putting in lockers.........woohoo.... I might be able to get exercise afterall..........it's pretty small, but the equipment is nice and its FREE.............

i was told to shut the computer down for 10 minutes then restart.

also, blow on the connecting plug and modem (exterior) box.

Hey guys

Signed up Connor for preschool next year (actually its like more like Mothers Day out). How sad. My baby is old enough for school. Damn kids just keep growing up.
Michael is still trying to decide on a college. Now he is thinking he might stay home and go to the University of Houston. If so that will save me some money. We may not have to give up eating after all!
