pam - is it sunny, are the deck dudes "hot"?

ed - btw, no more pics of the village people, not even the biker.

mic - why thank you very much, my  's appreciate it...when last spotted, they were taken in trade by the tag fairy. Yoo-Hoo!

muffcat - I don't think I watched since last winter. Of course, it didn't take long to get up to speed. They had another one of their disasters & killed off a minor charactar @ a masked ball. Dixie was lurking throughout with one of those tiny feathered masks on a stick (opera mask?). She managed to interact w/various ex's & family & no one recognized her....jeeez. Did you watch many years ago when Tad had an evil brother Ted? DH still teases me about watching that storyline. :)

Our nearest Krispy Kreme is about 30 miles away - boo-hoo! I haven't bought them since before Xmas. DH gets them nearly every day @ work...convenience store across the street brings them over to his dept. @ work. There's no free ride, someone's paying one way or another for all that fat.;)

no it's not sunny--it's raining....no they are not hot.....they are nice though...i guess that is the main thing!

One of our gas station has krispy Kremes we use to get them quiet a bit but haven't been in there for a long time...i think the last time i got those donuts is when we went to disney last...coming upon a year ago.

I watch AMC, but usually only 1/2 because that is when the kids lay down...the one that i don't want to miss right now is OLTL...it is getting sooo good..i also watch guiding light...hey a girl has to do something relaxing at naptime!!!

I agree...AMC is getting lame right now....it is one of them shows right now that if i miss it i can catch upon it the next day...you can almost predict what is going to happen....and what the heck is going on with erica? that whole storyline is just plain stupid!!! :rolleyes2

Muffy Jo, everyone keeps asking me what is up with this co-worker...hmmmm....I'm not in the know, so ask someone higher than me. Everyone does find it unusual though for someone to not be showing up that obviously isn't coughing up lungs or close to death ;)

Yikes, I was busy this afternoon. Owner sent me out too to pick up lunch for him and another guy, so I got out for a 1/2 hr. or so..but its so hot...blech

Pam, sorry my abbreviations got you nervous :teeth: but I did mean dishwasher

Hope if it is raining there, it has cooled down, cause we need that weather here. The humidity is icky today.

I'm off to get my pedicure and nails done tonight. I hate that it eats up most of my evening, but I just don't want to trek over to the place on Saturday, plus they are always swamped on the weekends. I need to think about hair color too.......oh my, a girl's wallet is always tapped

Ok, almost time to run downstairs and clock out. Got my first official pay from here as an untemporary employee. See, my banana is dancing too.

Krispy Kremes are sold in the supermarket here, boxed of course.

i could barely get on dis at work. i hope they were having major problems
and it wasn't the company blocking the site :sad2:

i starting AMC in the seventies, left awhile in the eighties.
my favorite couple were Nina & Cliff
I was on maternity when Janet was stuck in the well by her sister in 91.
it took them 3 months before Timmy finally found her :rotfl:

Sorry I went AWOL Had to bring DW to ER she sprained her ankle so 9pm to 130am was taken up and then I had to go get a wheelchair because she cant balance on crutches.

Have a good evening y'all.

just got back home.
i hate it when i am gone from 7ish in the morning to sundown.

ed, are you sure the mrs didn't sprain her ankle running away from a snake?

i hope she is going to be all right. looks like you will have to play mr mom now and do the cooking, cleaning, kid care.........believe me, you will have a ball, it's loads of fun. just ask any of the females on this thread.
start with pam on how wonderful it is to take care of kids and make the house run smooth.....

sounds like everyone had a grand day.
i now forgot what all was posted.............i am slipping.
i get excited to read what you all have to say and when it comes time to reply, .....um, what was i going to say ... :lmao:

they changed the smilies again..........rats
except these guys are kewl :dance3:

:artist:  :happytv:

ok, long day today..

so sweets and deena come back this weekend? kewl. i have issed them.
missed them both a lot.

anyhoot, i went to work, came home at 2:30, changed clothes, went to the doctor appointment. sat there for ever.........and a day......
i told the nurse i was bored so she gave me a good housekeeping magazine.
i didn't like it but it was better than reading the highlights magazine.

the tech did some xrays.
doc checked me out.
took a tube and rammed it down one duct in my mouth to my gland.

couldn't get but 2 drops of saliva come out. he says, your mouth is very dry.
yea sherlocks, salivary gland doesn't work.

now i have the script and have to go the to hospital for a catscan of the head and neck.

either way you look at it, going to be surgery. need the CT for him to decide which way to cut me. inside or out....

but, we have insurance as of may 11 so that is a good thing.

taking off work tomorrow and going to beg to get an early appointment.
watch it be for 2 weeks off with my luck.

i will come play on the thread tomorrow.....

will be back later tonight.

this is the last i am going to talk about my stupid dumb gland.

I watched AMC back in the "day"...when it first came on and Erica Kane was after Philip or whoever it was at that time. I like Nina and Cliff too...too many years ago to think about. I've been watching Days now for years, and kinda stick with it, but it is boring the bejingles out of me right now

Yes, there are lots of new smilies, someone has been busy at the Dis :laundy: <<<<<< that is one that fits me to a "T"............ :thumbsup2

Ok, see you in the morning dear friends, this bunch can sing us to sleep :dance3:

good morning my homies.

it is friday and today we play at work.

i got 2 calls to work today. i let them go unanswered. thank goodness for caller id.

i need to go to curves and make some phone calls.
work would get in the way............ :rotfl:

i'll check back in later after i get back from curves. :yay:

i caved............

another phone call and i answered it.
have to be at work in 13 minutes.

catch you when the school bell rings....... :teacher:
:sad2:

mac - you are a trooper! :cheer2: hang in there.

I like this one :happytv: , suits me to a t (v)!

mic - your co-worker situation beats the heck out of the AMC plot line. Must admit Erica looks pretty good for her age (whatever she's claiming these days). I, too, got hooked on the show when I was on maternity leave. Actually named my middle son after one of the charactars - remember Jeremy? They recently brought back Janet - from another planet (what DH calls me when I'm stressed & act loopy:guilty: ).

Poor Mrs. Ed, sucks when you're feet are out of commision. Hope the varmits don't decide to visit.LOL When DS had to use crutches last fall/winter they made him go for PT before they'd give them to him & to learn how to use them (liability issues - no wonder health costs are so high). We were offered to pick up COBRA extension on health insurance for middle son @ $600/mo, $700 if we wanted to keep the dental. Scared to think what it would cost for family coverage.

pam - yep, my Mom always told me it's what's inside that counts:thumbsup2 always nice if they're easy on the eyes.
wink.gif

Hope they girls are having a great time @ the motherland & the rain stays away.

Tomorrow we've got 2 baseball games & altar serving in between (wonder if God would be mad if he wore his uniform & spikes?).

TGIF!

morning all

mac- feel better. some popcorn will make you feel better ::popcorn:

ed- hope Mrs. Ed heals fast. give her some popcorn from me ::popcorn:

ks- it's a shame the cobra costs so much at the single rate
good luck with bb games.

i starting watching with the Erica,Philip & Chuck too.

i'm happy to log on today :yay:
i was beginning to think i might have to beg the tech guys for access to dis :bitelip:

:happytv: - this is me, with a laptop

Morning all :)

Hey, looks like I can post again -- yesterday, I locked up literally anytime I tried opening this thread. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Spent last night with a screaming, screeching child -- and it was the 5 year old, not the 1 year old. :( The best we can figure, Cameron got water in his ear from swimming lessons last night and it was hurting him quite a bit. :guilty: :guilty: He eventually fell back asleep and was fine this morning. :confused3

Morning all!

Ed--I feel for her....I guess I never knew how bad it actually hurt until I did it...hope you are letting her stay off of it!!! Was it the same one she hurt before?

Muffy--so glad you didn't have to beg!! :teeth:

Mac--have fun teaching today....the moola is always nice..even if you have to stress for a few hours!

Mic--how was the man/pedicure last night? I need to go and get my haircut again...haven't gotten it cut since I have seen ya in Baltimore

KS--god doesn't care what you look like just as long as you visit him! :teeth:

Bob--what is on the agenda for the weekend? Did you get the whole t-ball thing worked out?

Where's Adam? :confused3

I bet the gang that went to WDW is having a great time!

gotta run...be back later!!

Bob - nothing worse than a child w/sore ears. We're big fans of putting a few drops of rubbing alcohol in each ear after swimming...they also sell something called Swim-Ear in a squeeze bottle. "New" pediatrician told me years ago & we haven't had one re-current ear infection since use, poor middle DS had the tubes etc. & has not had a problem since.:thumbsup2

muffycat - my youngest DS is pestering me to let him buy a used laptop (with the last of his paper-boy money) on eBay. I know nothing of laptops, other than they don't seem to have much "oomph" -how's that for a techie-term. Buying used electronics makes me nervous. We gave the boys our 3 year old HP but it now needs a monitor, LCD screen is pink-hued! I think he should just buy a monitor.

We do have an old Compaq CRT monitor laying around. Anyone know if we could hook it up to the HP? We're hopeless, still haven't figured how to set up our in-house network using verizon DSL. I need to find me a geek.:goodvibes

T-ball practices are Friday nights. Cam had his first practice last week, but it was a short one because the fields were muddy and only 5 kids showed up. So we'll see how tonight goes. Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the first game this Tuesday (which should be interesting, with the limited practices they've had :rotfl2: )

Otherwise, the weekend is pretty free except for a birthday party that Cam has for a girl in the neighborhood on Saturday, yardwork and starting to pack for our trip. :)

hey homies.

at work and squeezing in some down time. i have seniors today and this is their last day of school. they took finals the last 3 days. today i supervisor the constitution testing. it is 2 hours long.

my afternoon classes, i am being switched as seniors go home at 11 today, is the ROTC guys. piece of cake. we are watching a movie.

and they say school doesn't teach anything anymore......... :rotfl2:

i started to watch AMC when it first came out.
i was in college and it coincided with my break time. i watched it with a group in the lounge at college. got addicted to it.

i have not seen it in almost 5 years now.

our lives during the summer had to revolve around my noon show. the kids humored me. watch the show before swimming or 6 flags...........

just made my CT appt on the break from the kids.
going monday afternoon. glad i got that chore done with.

i will try to hop back here when the kids are visiting after the exam.

i have an older Mac if you want it keisha, it can be shipped, don't know how much that would run though

Morning again :sunny:

Everyone is chatter-y this morning. Seems like weekend is shaping up for everyone. Busy, busy..we are going to meet up this evening and eat at TGIF's....I'm sick of cooking, then hit Costco so I don't have to trek to town on the weekend. I do have a few things I need though at Wal Mart, so might slip over there at some point, don't think we can fit everything in this evening (well, theoretically I can, I don't want too :p ), we'll see.

Bob, sorry Cam had the earache, Those things are awful and I feel for him. That is good he woke up over it this morning. Poor little fella..

Mac will be singing "School's Out for Summer" very soon. Then you must get yourself on the mend my friend! Hope the appt. goes well on Monday.

Pine Valley was pretty hot back in the day :thumbsup2 , haven't watched it in years though. I do watch Passions who has Susan Lucchi's daughter in it. She is not near as attractive as her mom

Where are the other boys this morning? We miss you

Guess the gang will be back this weekend. I bet it has been hot down there.

Here is a mid-morning snack for everyone ::popcorn:

Pam, ped/manicure went ok, they were so busy and then they rush, that kinda irks me, but it was nice to get done and home in record time :p
