Thanks Joanne, I think it's like Mac said, the number of true friends you have you can count on your hands.

Anyway, Mic fun about the car. It sounds like a strip down car, but as long as it gets him to and from work, it's a good thing to have. I hate being in car dealerships too. It takes forever to sign all that paperwork.

:wave2: Good morning..........

I'm with you Momma, after a settled down last night, it all came over me WE HAVE TO NOW PAY for this truck..we've not had a car payment in about 3 yrs. now, so here we go again :guilty: Yes, it is a small Mazda truck, bright red (you know, so he can attract the ladies... :lmao: ), and the only extra's that came with it are air and it does have a bed liner. But it should last him the rest of our day's, and for just a basic truck, it isn't bad looking and it will suit its purpose. We drove several used trucks and also another new model, the used were OK, but $$ wise with the higher interest, it was paying the same payments as the new, and they weren't exactly what we wanted. I just hate when you get in these places and they start with the "we are doing this for you, other places would charge you for this, we are here to make this easy"...blah blah blah....don't patronize me, I know you are here to make money off selling me this...and I don't for a minute think you are not!! So, long story short, I finally got to sleep, was restless all night and now have a headache, but like Momma said, this to will pass.... :sunny: We financed it thru Mazda to get the rebates, but now I'm in the process of trying to secure the money thru our credit union....less % and for 12 months less on the terms, we will save some $$. So hope that works ok........all this financial talk makes me spin.......... I might drive the red beauty to work on Monday.............hot grandma in her red pick-up...... :rotfl:

See ya in a bit...ds went and bought out Costco yesterday for us, so I have a bunch of meat to package up for the freezer.......plus my house looks like a cyclone blew through, swear the weekend comes and I get nothing done :sad2:

Don't fret Momma :grouphug: hang in there.............and have I said lately....love you guys...it's so nice to have people to come to, post this stuff even if everyone skims it over ;) :p :teeth: but to just have people to share with and get it all out....cheaper than therapy.........LOL :rotfl2:

Good Sunday morning everybody.....I was going to play golf today but I'm still in OCM-JULIE-SAMMIE Recovery mode!! :lmao: Sorry about the frustrating news last night OCM. I'm sure it will turn out ok....... :grouphug:

Tony, I know you live there by WDW, but it still is "getting back to normal" after you have had friends visiting and had a fun time........they sure are cute little gals, and I'm happy you were able to entertain them for a few days, you and your "3" hairs........... :rotfl2: :p You guys crack me up.........

My dog got out of the yard  yesterday while dh and I were out...my son said he and his buddy went on a frantic search....ds said he was more worried about ME and what I would do to him if he hadn't found my little guy, than where the dog was......... :p See, I have my men so they fear little ole me...LOL.......all ended well, they found him strolling around on the sidewalk..... :sunny: Just checking out the neighborhood I guess

morning all

darn, i missed the tester from florida. i think it is a set up.
good for mic for scaring him........

ocm :grouphug: i don't know what it is but i hope you are better

yes, mic car payments are a lot less than therapy.

everytime i see a litle red truck i will :wave2: at it.
or should i flash?

LOL...flash red trucks mac....I'm sure one of them will stop and say "hey lady, want a ride".... :teeth:

Yeah, X-Agent sounds so spyish...........think we have a spy lurking about?

Ok, I said this an hour ago...I need to go DO something....I started chatting with my son online and of course here I still sit....he was telling me that last night my grandson's little league was invited to a D'Backs game and to get to go on the field (I think I mentioned this before)...well anyway, they were standing around watching them loosen up, and Furcal from the Braves threw a ball to my grandson...so not sure who was more excited, my son or my grandson...LOL...I really think my son got more joy than the little guy.. :goodvibes It turned into a nice evening for them. For my baseball buddies, did you see the guy slug the CWS player in the jaw? Not very sportsmanlike, but it did look funny..........

Heck, I go to a couple of bb games & miss all the action here! 2 winning games down, 1 to go today (and tomorrow, etc., etc.)

micky4ver - got a freezer full of meat (always @ good thing) and a bright & shiney new red truck. You forgot to buy American (consuming steel keeps meat on our table;) ). Anymore I gather it's tought to find many vehicles "made" in America - most are shipped in parts & assembled here.:confused3 OT, but our Ford stock is @ $7, don't ask what we bought it @ - just can't bring myself to sell. Personally, I like haggling w/dealers - always embarras my DH who unleashes me on the salesperson & walks away (caution, bulldog @ work grrrrrrr).

tony to the damsel in distress's rescue! sound like ex-military to me - voice of authority.

sweetlovin' that really sucks about the CC, we had a fraud issue when we were in the bahamas - quite a scary feeling. So glad we brought back up cards. The CC company offered to have new cards waiting in the next port that had an international bank, but we declined. Hope all works out for you!

muffycat - curious about your screen name - after a pet?

mac's counting down the days to end of school year....tick, tick, tick. Did you see the Universal promo w/"free" rental car...wonder what else they may offer this year?

IMO, Agent X sounds like the name of an expensive bathroom cleaner.:goodvibes

Good Sunday to all.

KS, we are BIG on buying American...my husband is/was a card carrying, union dues, Steelworker union member for over 30 years.........and guess what we found out? Mazda IS Ford! (see, I might help your stock ;) ) Plus the engine etc. was assembled in Dearborn........so some American workers got something out of it :thumbsup2 Yeah, I was getting antsy in the place yesterday and my not so nice side surfaced...in fact, dh who is usually very placid about the whole thing, got up out of the chair in the finance office and said he was "done, I'm leaving"...he had to crawl over me though and couldn't get out...LOL...it was dumb...with Mazda, on a joint application, EACH person has to fill one out...so it ended up on the 4 personal references (and by the way, why do they need 4 people?) we had 2 the same, oh NO that won't do, so I had to change some of mine, which gave us a total of 8 people....what ticked me off was the dumb stump salesgirl is the one who said "oh, it doesn't matter who you put down" So I then proceeded to tell the finance man that no offense, but they better start training their salespeople on how forms are to be filled out...no one wants to be filling them out twice!! :sad2: He agreed that they were not being trained properly and I had a legitimate grip....... :furious: But I totally agree on buying American......we tried and nothing was in what we could spend right now.

Perhaps we have a bathroom cleaner amongst us.. :thumbsup2 He/she can stay then....... :goodvibes

ks- we had a cat named Muffy. It was already taken when i joined as a member, so i just added cat after it.

hence, with a name like that he always got into fights :rotfl:

WOW, $125 for a ticket...but sounds like he had excellent seats!! Can't beat going to a ballgame and seeing a boxing bout....

I was sickened seeing that horse yesterday limping around...thought that was very sad to witness...........hope he can be helped so they at least can stud him out...talk about losing a cash cow...I wonder if race horses have life insurance? I guess they do :confused3

i totally and completely agree mic

she shall be muffy jo to us.

what a bummer about the broken hind leg on that horse.
as least he can still be a stud. :teeth:

speaking of studs, where are out test boys today?

Morning everyone

I have to do some laundry today, clean my house (it was gross when I came back) and write about the rest of my vacation. I have 3 days done so far. It takes a lot more time than I thought, but it is helping me feel better to write about it.

For the most part, I had a great time on the trip.

And really, I leave in 7 days to go back for a week...that should be a fun trip!!

morning homies.

you go back again momma, how sweet.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: man, those dude's get into it too........... :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl: :woohoo: i'll be sending that link off all day! Revenge of long dong duc. They're probaby matriculating @ MIT, check out the kid in the background - @ 1st I thought he was trying to study but, he's probably surfing porn sites.LOL If you stick it out 'till the end, notice that muffin on the left has a cast on his left arm - karoke injury.

Soooooooo, funny - thanx. BTW, look for the union label:thumbsup2 ...Ford stock needs all the help it can get, DH won't let me purge it from portfolio (if only to keep me humble LOL).

muffycat - a cat named "Sue".:smooth:

sweetlovin' - what a wdw maven, 25 more sleeps for us...but, who's counting?

Have to drag DH to dr's appt, lure him out w/promise of lunch date before he trudges off to work. He spent the weekend beginning the process of tearing down retaining wall. For a rotting away tie-wall, it sure is hanging in there. I had the bright idea of him cutting away a 5 X 10 foot section on hillside; unfortunately it appears to be mostly clay.
