How much snow did everyone get this weekend (well, those of us in the North )

I think we ended up with about 4" or so at our house. We drove through some ugly stuff, though, over the weekend (in Western NY)

Hi all.........this place I'm at is driving me crazy....I need a new life...

Cold here too, not as extreme as you guys though, but still cold with snow in the forecast...depending on where it comes from is how much we will accumulate.......hope for NONE......school is being dismissed an hour early and not a flake has fallen................

friday we got 3"
sunday morning it was 5"

today it was zero when i got up son that means no snow today.

but tomorrow prediction is more snow than the day before.


it will be a cold winter here in the midwest........the heating bills will be triple this year i read. colder and increase in gas prices

take a long long long break today at noon and come to my house for a cup of coffee.........it will be very relaxing, you will feel so much better.

Weekend was great -- a ton of driving (add in a few wrong turns ), but we had a good time. Heck, I even came back from the casino on Sunday with extra $$ in pocket.

it's 52 degrees now in houston and going up to 58 with tomorrow high of 61 degrees.

of course no snow in houston deena................



i would take your 52 anyday over zero with a windchill of -7

Its actually 46 in the city I live in. I know its not going to snow in 60 degree weather. Just saying we have no snow here. Even when it dips below freezing we rarely get any snow.

Hey all, Sorry I've been AWOL... I have been recovering from the DVC Member Cruise Call-in.

deena, i was making a feeble attempt of a joke when i mentioned the snow.

what i did was a search on weather.com.....i know it is misleading as i only put in houston but depending on where the temps are taken makes a hill of beans difference.

i think i will take houstons winters and chicago summers. that way you get the best of 2 worlds.

when i put in zion for the temp on the sites, it is never what it really is here.
they use the waukegan airport to report for our city. only problem is it is not accurate. i live 1.3 miles from the lake and the wind that whips off there blasts us ...........
i read the temp guage we have up at our home.


but i would rather be in houston right now.
i think mic and pam would agree.

gives me an idea deena..................do you have extra pillows.........

never have been interested in a cruise.

my inlaws do cruises all the time. that is their thing. they do a couple a year.

for me, its not in the cards.

Yes plenty of extra pillows.....come on down. I know you guys who get snow all the time can do without it but we would love to have some. Last christmas eve when it snowed we were soooo excited. Took me close to 40 years to get a white christmas
Our weather is nice in the "winter" time, summers here however are a killer.

went to two places and i only bought junk...........

now that i am home i ask myself......"what was i thinking".........

hey guys...i'm back home too!

We did a little...oh who am i kidding....alot of shopping I can never get out of Kohls without spending atleast $200........I think dave is going to ban me from there!

Took Aubrey to the eye doctor and he said that her eyes are still good so no need for surgery right now! but she does need new glasses again...it has been a year since she got her other ones....they are getting to small. He said she is getting a little more near sided and a little bit more of a astigmatism(sp) but he said that was expected since she is still growing. So all in all it went good, no terribly awful news!
